“Yeah, I’m sure I can find another one before things get too cold. Thankfully it hasn’t been too bad lately.” The larvesta was making neat work of the blanket, hatching must’ve been hard work. Hopefully this cloth eating habit died down, she couldn’t afford to keep buying this stuff.

Her eyes brighten and Lele looks back to Zeus, “Too bad, gonna fuggin tell you anyways! I found it with some blue putty. It was with another larvesta in this park area. Idk what they were doing, but they had a couple eggs around. They let me take one.” She scrunches her face a bit, “That old man got kinda salty about it though. Tbhidk why fam, the Pokémon let me have their egg. I told him he was being a boomer and left.”

A hand covers Lele’s mouth in sarcastic shock, “OMFA TRAINING IS ILLEGAL!?" She adopts a more serious tone, "Good thing I just collect Pokémon and travel with them. I don’t even know how to start trying to discipline something that can burn me alive. Seems bad for longevity. Where does the line for training start and collecting end here legally anyway?”

"He... Might be angry because the eggs of those Pokemon weren't his to begin with." Zeus shrugged though, standing up with Luxray following suit, grumbling at the noise the cub makes. This one was a loud one. Asahi looked around and went to go find a bush, digging around to pull out some non-descript berry to drop it in the blanket the Larvesta was chewing on. Zeus let this happen and his eyebrow never came down. Eventually it did though when she took a more serious tone. Was she still being a shit lord? No telling. Mood. "Guess I should specify owning is illegal. The government here has fooled everyone into thinking Pokemon are super susceptible to some non-existent disease called RoT. As for discipline- well. That's typically what trainer schools are for." Sucks he didn't just carry a book on basics of pokemon training around with him. That wasn't his jam, it wasn't often he met someone with pokemon that didn't know what to do with them. "Lets start walking. We might bump into something that could be used to set an example. Or get to a town first. Who knows." As he turned around, his Arcanine stood up right, walking over, careful not to bump the egg in the satchel into a tree. "I guess for starters. Learning how to care for what you own is a good place to start."

Lele’s eyes widen, “Woah, so did those Pokémon trick me into robbing some sort of Pokémon breeding cartel? Am I going to have to go into hiding, wear a fake mustache, and change my name?” I don’t think I could live like that. I can't remember my own details well enough to live under a pseudonym."

She gives Zeus a genuinely perplexed look, “Wait, RoT isn’t real? What’s with all these people saying they’ve seen infected Pokémon then? Just shit hypelords jumping on the bandwagon trying to squeeze out likes for Plasma social cred?” Leleia shakes her head, “Either Plasma’s over here trolling the whole society, or you’re a member of the tin hat gang.”

The mildly worried expression reappears on her face, “What do you mean ‘used to set an example’. You planning on breaking a wild mon’s kneecaps, or kneecap equivalent?" She smiles up at him. "You just keep getting scarier, Zeus. I know my types and stuff, I used to watch gym challenges and stuff on the TV. You could just give me a TLDR on training if that’s what you’re going for here. That’d be less ‘ecoterror-y’.” Her face grows more excited “You want me to show you my team? I get the impression it’s safe to have some out of their ball with you around. Might be a good place to start too since you’re training me now.”

 

Meanwhile, the larvesta stops to sniff the berry that was placed next to it and shoots fire at it before starting to consume that too. Having her attention jerked back to the fluffy bug’s fiery dining, “Maybe we should wait for Heliobug here to finish their meal before we start walking though. Little gal just went through an ordeal.”

"Please. One of the best ways to learn is example. At least that's how I learn." By making tons of mistakes. He may be way smarter than he lets on but he only learns in a specific manner. "And yeah, sure, show me what you've got. It'll give time for Heliobug there to rest up." Hell, he could show her the team he had on him right now, but several of them were quite large. For now it was Asahi roaming the clearing with an egg in his satchel, and Chin-chi flicking his tail, surveying the trees with his x-ray eyes. Zeus stood up too, dusting his knees off with the arm he hasn't kept tucked in his hoodie pocket, nodding to Leleia in a 'go ahead' motion.

“All right! Let’s go be terrors in the wilderness!” Lele shoves her hands into a side pocket in her backpack and pulls out several pokeballs. “Ok everyone! Come on out! It’s time to play with the scary, nice man!” She throws the pokeballs into the air and a variety of Pokémon come from them all at once.

First out is a pleasant smelling appletun, they raise their eyes up and look around a bit dopily  before heading over to Leleia and casting a hungry eye at the larvesta. “This in Emmy Lou. I found her as an applin and she was the first Pokémon I got here! She makes a lot of delicious nectar."

Next out is a tinkatink that seems rather glad to be out of the ball. She looks around warily at Zeus and his Pokémon. “This is Moderator!”  She pauses for a moment, “You already know how we met.”

A rather cranky looking nacli emerges from a ball and spins next to Leleia before rolling between  her feet for safety, making dissatisfied noises and casting glances at the other Pokémon.  “Ah, Salt Lord is a bit of a bitch, hopefully they get better as we go. They always complain about things."

Finally, a litten with a very smug aura comes out and starts marking Leleia’s shins and purring, making a challenging stare towards the luxray, who is surely very impressed with the bravado of the much smaller cat. “And this regal gentleman is Sir Nyan. He just sorta started travelling with me after chasing off some rattata one time."

The girl puts her arms in the air and smiles widely, “So this is my crew right now.” She puts her arms down and looks up towards the sky, “There’s also a drampa that comes to visit me from time to time I call Papa Fluff. He’s fuggin great. Soft as hell."

She turns her attention back to Zeus while gently redirecting the appletun from trying to eat the larvesta. “So where do we start?"

Zeus chuckled a little at the Nacli- reminded of how Uguro was when he first got him. Now the lad was a gentle giant until told to be otherwise. The rest of the Pokemon also kept him smiling. Damn shame she could get them taken away if she wasn't careful. But he didn't linger on that thought long, and looked to the woods next to them. "Drampa are good Pokemon, yes- but first we start with training. Thankfully the Nacli can feed himself- most mineral based Pokemon can so letting them forage is good yes." Zeus hung his free arm loosely at his side and looked towards the Appletun going after the Larvesta. "As for that Appletun- might be good for- at some point- Heliobug to bite back at her and teach her that they're partners, not food. That is if they don't learn on their own. I've had a few rather... not smart... Pokemon that Chin-chi had to take a swing at to get them to stop trying to take charge off his fur." "You said you've at least watched battles, yes?" Asahi sat down behind Zeus, careful not to jostle the egg too much and took up watching the small Pokemon moving about, nose wiggling curiously as he sniffed in their direction.

Lele scratches the litten under the chin and it purrs loudly, making the nacli let out a disgusted rattle. “Fugg yeah, Salt Lord is great at getting food for himself!” The nacli immediately stops looking jealous at the attention the litten is getting as it receives verbal praise.

She casts a skeptical look between the Appletun, who now seemed content to just watch the larvesta go about finishing up what it wanted of the blanket. “Hmm, Idk about that fam, wouldn’t that be super effective against an Appletun though? Yeah, if she’s has the dumb with it for too long I might let heliobug helio-fugg her up a bit. Teach her what’s friend and what’s food.” She sighs, “Although I get the impression it’ll be Heliobug that has trouble with that shit.”

“Oh yeah! Loads of battles. I used to watch the competitive circuits when I was a little kid! That shit was lit. I’ve been trying to practice some of that. Been trying to teach Sir Nyan to be meaner so he can intimidate things better. If people are going to be trying and take my shit just for having it IDGAF about being toxic AF about my team.” She cocks her head to the side. “Ya know?”

Zeus makes a slightly amused expression at the Nacli's jealous disposition, then looks to Heliobug. "Super effective or not- sometimes some Pokemon are too dense to learn a lesson the easy way. Maybe Emmy Lou can be spoken to- but as long as Heliobug there isn't trying to eat their teammates- I think it'll be fine." He nodded- looking to the Litten at the comment of being toxic. "Oh no- I understand." As he digs in a spot in his bag, Chin-chi growls and Asahi adjusts himself to be closer to Zeus, seemingly making room in the clear. "You've met Asahi and Chin-chi." He throws out yet another worn and torn ball- almost impossible to tell it was an ultra ball cause of paint stripping- and lets out an Absol. Considerably less scarred up than Chin-chi but just as mean looking. "Azreal here is my toxic team-mate. Chin-chi is a bit of an ass, yes- But Azreal is my princess." The Absol had a sort of cold- judging gaze as she looked at the baby pokemon- then walked away to sit next to her old companion- completely disinterested in the child. "And a bitch." Grabbing another ball with the hand free from the hoodie pocket, all of his pokeballs look like they'd seen a war, he tossed out an Aggron into the largest piece of clearing they had. When he came out of his ball, his raised his head up and stretched it towards the sky, shaking off his metal plates and looking down at the group. "This is Uguro. A bit of a gentle giant until something makes him angry. Isn't that right old friend?" At that, he shook off again and got comfortable, nodding. The next ball he threw out released a silver chunk of floating metal with a large yellow x over his face. "This is Hagane. He generally exists between a state of confused and pulling out all stops though." While Zeus was talking about him, he was already heading off to find a place to get comfortable. "Then there's Haiku. You'd think he'd have evolved already considering i've had him since I was like- 16." He threw out a Dragonair- who curled up gracefully and flicked his feathers upwards as he looked at Zeus. Seemingly fully aware that he was just talking shit about him. "He's taking his sweet time I suppose."

Leleia’s eyes and smile grow progressively wider as Zeus shows her his team. “OMFA they are all so precious and look really strong! I want to give them all a hug and simultaneously do not want to get within striking distance of them!"

Sir Nyan now took turns leering towards the luxray and the absol, but eventually throws their head up and goes back to rubbing up on Lele’s legs if he gets ignored by the other felines. Salt Lord remains in place under Leleia, but casts concerned looks over towards the aggron and metagross periodically.

Moderator seems overly interested in how Uguro’s plates fit together and starts to wander over towards them. “Well, that’s a fuggin bad idea. I don’t think they have any materials you could use that aren't stuck to them.” The tinkatink looks down at their club, then over to the relaxing aggron again before turning to sit by Leleia and begins buffing out any smudges the club has picked up.

The larvesta stops eating on the blanket, apparently content with their feasting, and curls up within some of the smoldering parts to sleep. “Well, looks like they’re done eating, where do we go now?” She smiles, seemingly eager to learn what she can from you. “And don’t worry about Haiku, I’m sure they’ll evolve when they’re good and ready to. I remember hearing dragons need a lot of energy to do it.”

Zeus laughed at her comment about striking distance, and nodding. "They have been trained to be dangerous, you would be right. But they know their boundaries and strength." He wouldn't let massive rumbling beasts just think it's ok to strike out at a human without command. Azreal ignored Sir Nyan entirely while Chin-chi let out a low huff at him looking their way. Meanwhile Uguro was shaking dirt and some minor debris from beneath his iron shell. Zeus just ignored the going ons, he was used to the overall chaos of his team's varying bad attitudes. They were loyal though and besides, it'd be boring if they had no personality. "Yes- Dragons do take a considerable amount of energy to evolve, yes. But you see, he's well over twenty years old now at the least. Guess I babied him too long as a Dratini." At that, Haiku flipped his feathers and turned away to slither over to where Uguro chilled out. "We can pack up real quick and start heading towards Ansen. There's bound to be some level of trouble to cause along the way."
