HYDRA FROST
THE BUBBLE JET HIDDEN POKEMON
AGE | GENDER | ALLEGIANCE | OCCUPATION |
TWENTY-FIVE | FEMALE | PLASMA | FRESHWATER OPS |
APPEARANCE
Hydra is a tall and thin woman, but don't let that fool you-she is very flexible even with her Vaporeon tail and can fold into small boxes easily, much like a cat. She has tanned skin and black hair that usually ends up tied into a ponytail with a blue hairband. Close to the edges of her eyes, a pair of fins extend in place of her ears. They are smaller in proportion than that of a regular Vaporeon, but they work fine. Hydra's eyes are a dark blue.
When on land, Hydra has to wear glasses (explained in the powers section). Hydra's clothing varies, but is usually of pastel colours. Underneath, Hydra always wears a blue two-piece bathing suit that matches the colour of her hairband. She also always carries around a waterproof bag of the same colour. This effectively means that she can dive into the water and turn invisible to hide if needed, using the blue colour of her clothing as camouflage, and keep her regular clothes in her bag. It sounds cool, but it's really not very practical to do on short notice, taking around 5 minutes. Hydra only keeps it because it's convenient for if she needs to go for a swim.
Hydra tends to take a slightly slouched stance, folding inwards on herself in order to look less noticeable. It rarely works, since her Vaporeon traits are so blatantly obvious, but it's fine.

PERSONALITY
POSITIVE -Confident (Skill-wise) -Attentive -Cautious -Loyal -Curious NEGATIVE -Quiet -Distant -Awkward -Easy to read -Insecure (When interacting with others) | Before the brainwashing, Hydra was a charismatic and charming individual. After that, however, her personality had shifted. Chitchat no longer comes easily to her, and probing information simply through talking was no longer viable. While Hydra did not remember being charismatic, she has the distinct feeling of something being very wrong whenever she spoke, and over time, she gradually grew to be less chatty and more quiet. When she does socialise, she is distant and sometimes awkward, stuttering when she gets very nervous and being way too easy to read. Due to her memory loss, Hydra also tends to be insecure about how she acts socially. She constantly pressures herself to live up to the her in the past, even though her only knowledge of that person was from the lips of others. Hydra is extremely loyal to whoever she pledges her allegiance to. Once upon a time that was aimed towards the Resistance, and now it was aimed towards Team Plasma. She never stops paying attention to everything around her, always alert and listening to her surroundings. Hydra tries her best to be cautious and keep herself safe, doing her best to avoid making others irritated at her. Hydra cares deeply about pokemon. In her eyes, Team Plasma are trying to cure pokemon of ROT, and the Resistance are trying to hinder that, which makes the Resistance enemies in her eyes. |
BACKGROUND
You are a child born to a family of average income. You live in Hyo City with your parents. Life is peaceful, and you are content.
You are a student. You have average grades, your intelligence going more towards your people smarts. You have this weird charm about you that draws others in and makes them open up more easily, allowing you to gain information surprisingly easily. You don't quite mind this, being a curious child.
You are in shock when you first hear of the ROT. As a pokemon lover, you cannot bear to hear that pokemon are suffering like that. However, you are too young to do much at the moment.
You are terrified when Professor Ava opposes Team Plasma. Your parents believe her over them, so you do too. The Resistance appears, and your parents join swiftly.
You are young, but you try your best to help your parents. You help to care for their pokemon when they are busy, and you stay out of their business as much as possible so that they can help the pokemon by contributing to the Resistance.
You are sixteen, and your parents allow you to join the Resistance officially. Overjoyed, you gain a pokemon from them-an Eevee that your mom rescued from the clutches of Team Plasma. The Eevee is quiet, but seems intrigued by you at a glance when you smile at her.
You are a full-fledged Resistance member, soon enough. You up your charm to full strength, tricking information out of the lips of neutrals, occasionally even Plasma members who banter with you. Your Eevee, Chance, follows you around everywhere. At one point, you consider evolving her into a Vaporeon to help in stealth missions, but she instead evolves into an Espeon during a battle soon after.
You are happy for Chance, of course, seeing how happy she was. You continue to carry out missions together, collecting information for the Resistance.
You are captured. A shockingly strong Plasma grunt came out of nowhere and grabbed you, and now you are sitting in a...room, with your pokemon all taken. You feel dizzy, too tired to try and figure out what was happening.
You are afflicted by a strong headache. Your mind buzzes, and you realise that something is in your head. You desperately try to chase them out to no avail, and when your head begins to cloud again, you take to repeating your values like a mantra. You do not know what will happen, but you know it's nothing good.
You are loyal to the Resistance.
You are Hydra Frost, and you will not give in so easily.
You are...
...Who are you?
You are brainwashed, but you do not know it.
You are an amnesiac. You wake up in a hospital room with no memory of how you got here-and for that matter, nearly no memories at all, only jumbled flashes of light and sound in your mind.
You are told your name-Hydra Frost. You learn that you are a member of Team Plasma, but you hit your head and lost your memories on a mission. You believe them.
You are told about the Resistance and is appalled at them. Team Plasma was just trying to heal the sick pokemon, how can people even think of going up against them?
You are loyal to Team Plasma not because of the brainwashing, but because they are the first people you saw after waking up, and because they are the ones who told you about who you "were". You don't even consider that they might be lying.
You are lost. Despite being told who you are, no actual memory can be found in your mind apart from bits and pieces, like parts of a puzzle that is too scattered to make out.
You are unsure of what others expect from you. The lack of confidence is a foreign feeling, but without your memories it is hard to feel like you know what are doing. You grow quiet and reserved, fearful of saying the wrong thing that the "past you" would not have said. Team Plasma does not treat you badly, and people around are generally accepting, but fear is irrational no matter how much others tell you otherwise.
You are not charismatic, not anymore, but you find a different strength. You are able to blend into the background, hardly noticeable. Team Plasma locks onto this new strength gladly.
You are given the chance to become a pokemorph. That way, you can contribute more easily to Team Plasma, with your original strength gone. You agree readily, desiring the ability to properly help once again. The higher-ups decide you will be a Vaporeon pokemorph, something you had no objection towards.
You are now a Vaporeon pokemorph, after a good year or so. You take to your new abilities immediately and with surprising proficiency. You are told that you will work in the freshwater ops, meaning that you will be making sure no one fishes illegally near the rivers, as well as look out for Resistance camps around there.
You are diligent in your training and the completion of your tasks. Soon enough, you are given the chance to gain a starter pokemonwho was my original one and what happened? and work in the field finally, which you accept immediately, internally cheering.
You are ready to receive your new starter. You are loyal to Team Plasma, and you'll do whatever they ask of you.

VAPOREON-LIKE TRAITS
USEFUL
-Has gills to breathe underwater (Lungs are smaller to make space for these gills)
-Fins on either sides of head (Replaces human ears)
-Sharper sense of smell and hearing (The entire front surface of fins appear to be able to hear)
-Regular vision when underwater (Will be explained in the "Nearsighted when on land" part)
-Able to turn completely invisible in water (Pretty much only noticeable by ripples and any clothing/belongings she has. Can only be done when 100% submerged)
-Fast swimmer
-Can survive in both saltwater and freshwater (So she won't die from swimming in the sea like freshwater fish. Probably a given but placed here just for clarity sake)
-Raib prediction (Fins quiver when rain is due in the next hour, does not work when underwater)
-Can understand pokemon better (Easier to get the gist of what a pokemon is saying, does not directly understand the pokemon)
DETRIMENTAL
-Restrictive lung disease symptoms (Sometimes experiences shortness of breath, wheezing, cough, and chest pain randomly while on land)
-Nearsighted when on land (Eyes are adapted to seeing underwater, so the focal point of light for her eyes are more forward than usual, resulting in nearsightedness when on land. Regular Vaporeons can toggle this, but not her. She has to wear glasses on land and take them off in water)
-When invisible in water, she is blind (In order to camouflage her eyes, she loses her vision)
-Belongings and clothing do not turn invisible (Meaning she must always wear water-coloured clothing)
-Belongings and clothing are not protected from getting wet
-Noisy swimmer when moving fast (Her tail splashes a lot to propel herself along, but can be sneaky when not bothering with speed)
-Gets dehydrated easily on land
