Your behavior mimics the symptoms to a T, by the way..." Brent called after her, grinning to himself and resetting his expression to neutral when Leleia comes over to him. "No- it's not contagious and you shouldn't be worried at all. Neurodivergent is what we use to blanket term things like autism, adhd, dyslexia and a few other mental illnesses, since a lot of them especially tend to be co-morbid." He then smiled as she pointed at the surfboard, looking to the lady and nodding to grab that one too, looking back at Leleia, considering her sufficiently distracted. "So... do you know how to surf?"

The lady turns around to flick Brent off and shout, “Nique tes morts, charlatan!” she continues stomping away towards the showers.

Leleia raises an eyebrow and smiles, clutching the surfboard “So it’s basically a ‘that bitch crazy but we can’t pin down why’ diagnosis?” She shrugs, “I don’t think it fits me though, I’m not fuggin morbid at all, just real scatter-brained."

She throws her head back and laughs, “HA! NO!” Leleia then straightens up and adopts a more serious tone, similar to how Brent speaks, “I understand the theory of it. Ride atop the board and don’t fall off while catching the waves and, potentially, hanging ten. I have surfed the internet many times, hopefully that skill set translates to this physical affair. I am prepared for the eventuality of wiping out, however. Ideally it will clean me of all this grit should it occur.”

She pretends to lower glasses towards him, "What is your level of expertise in the hanging of tens, sir?"

Brent watched her call out to him again, and squinted at her. Everything about her was off- her behavior was rancid, pompous, down right disgusting. With her eyes covered like that, it made reading a little more difficult, but there was an easy to identify mark around one of her fingers. Her fluency in Kalosian snatched his attention, as well as the name of her Pokemon. Kalosian Furfrou owners were some of the most intolerable people out there. Now the question was... would he take the bait? Of course he would! This was too easy of a bee hive to strike at. She carried herself like someone ready to explode, almost like someone who had something to be scared of. "Avec un tempérament comme le vôtre, ce n'est qu'une merveille pour les dieux ce qui est arrivé à votre conjoint." He spoke to her, but didn't turn his back to her, instead choosing to look down at Leleia from the corner of his eyes now. "Ah, no. Using crazy for Neurodivergence is rude, and offensive to some of them. Honestly- my neurodiverse patients are some of my most pleasant to speak to. They always have interesting experiences and tend to be the most open and cooperative." People who genuinely wanted help and answers. Almost all of his patients were like that, but some of them were just so... annoying. "'Scatterbrained' is an incredibly common trait of ADD and ADHD. Besides that though- I guess I could show you the basics. I know how not to fall off- but I've been in Anrui long enough and spent my entire life next to the ocean. You just kind of pick it up as a past time if you're interested." He took the boards from the lady, and handed the Dunsparce one to Leleia.

The woman continues to walk, but turns again to shout, “Qu'est-ce que tu en as à faire? Une pute ne te toucherait pas. Es-tu aussi un putain de poulet?” and wave her towel angrily. “Tu ne vaux pas l'air que je respire en te parlant” She continues walking and is nearly at the bathhouse.

Leleia bobs her head up and down with the motions of the screaming lady. “Wow, she sure is mad, you must have called her a really crusty baguette or something.”
"OUI OUI OUI, HON HON, BAGUETTE!" she shouts after her.

She then shrugs at the comment about neurodivergence, “Well duh, don’t call them that during a session, obvs. 100% unprofessional 0-star review. Never coming back.” She pauses a moment, “Wait, since you’re a psychiatrist, are you just gonna analyze me and then slip me a bill after we hang out for an hour? Cuz that wouldn’t be very cash money of you at all.”

Her eyes light up like stars when she is handed the board again. “I’m gonna fall off this thing so much.” She nods, and bangs her head on the surfboard accidentally, “Ow, yeah can’t say I’ve been to the beach too often, despite having been here for so long. Idk why though, there’s beach everywhere.”

Brent didn't tilt his head much at the mention of chicken, the implication of police. "Pour quelqu'un avec une si grande attitude, vous faites de si petits mots." He made mental notes galore on this person, quirking his eyebrows down at the girl yelling about yes yes yes, something laughing and bread. Brent let out an amused snort. "Please, she's a Kalosian. They're all assholes." He straightened up, sure that this bitch would eventually come rolling out at some point or showing up again. Such a Drapion red bitch was always sure to show up. She had to protect her pride. Most in his profession refer to her as a "Karen". "Speaking of asshole Kalosians, thanks for reminding me to charge you." He joked, lifting his board out of the sand. "Just kidding. By the way, next time? Call her 'Une vache espagnole'." Yeah- he was feeding this gremlin ammunition. "C'mon, lets go sit in the shallows and we'll see how you balance on it." With that he started leading her out towards the edge of the ocean.

Leleia starts digging around for the nectar jar again and then stops, “Lel, I aint got money anyway, nerd.” She’d have to find some way to get some though. She couldn’t keep on living on her own without some form of money. People were kind enough, but that wasn’t ‘living’.

She squints towards him, “Un vash espanol? What the fugg does that mean? ‘You vast spinach?’ That’s  a weird insult. I’m about it. Weird insults are always the best”

She drops her backpack off and lays a towel out for them before following Brent to the water. Washing off the sand and sunscreen off her feet and hands… and clouding the water quite a bit with it while she was doing so. Leleia then walks out a little ways and lays face down on her board, the saltwater mixing with the sunscreen and stinging her eyes. She lays there, basically planking on the board for a while before looking up, sunscreen and sand smeared over her face, “So, I’m on. My eyes burn. What’s next?" She hoped pokeballs were waterproof, she didn't want to hurt her friends by having fun in the water, but she didn't want to just leave them with her backpack... she got the sneaking suspicion Brent, as a Plasma member, wouldn't appreciate her having them.

Brent dunked himself under the water just to get the shock of the water temperature out of the way before climbing onto his own board, snorting in response to the planking child complaining about burning eyes. "A few wipe outs in and the burning might go away." He motioned out to the ocean. "Well we paddle out and obviously get knocked into the water more times than successfully riding the waves." With that, Brent laid forward on the board to paddle out, finally getting further away from the utter fucking headache inducing chaos that's been the people on the beach today.
