APPEARANCE
Brent has dark black hair and grey eyes and stands up straight to a clean 5'8. He's got a muscular build, besides his abs. You can't shred cheese on them but you could definitely hurt your hand on them. He has no tattoos, and has several scars. Several very faded from tearing at himself but a notable burn scar on his thigh.
Brent's outfits vary, but he does like button ups, tighter clothing and literally can't see without his glasses so his clothes are just gonna have to deal with it and match his glasses.

PERSONALITY
POSITIVE - Charismatic - Quick-Witted - Analytical - Cooperative - Humorous NEGATIVE - Manipulative - Cunning - Turns cold easily - Hair trigger mood swings (conditional) - Wicked | Brent suffers from a mix of traits from varying cluster B personality disorders. The most notable one being borderline personality disorder while displaying traits of antisocial personality disorder. This causes Brent to become incredibly chaotic and even dangerous should something go awry with his medications and overall temper. His therapist has also stated that he shows mild signs of psychopathy, though that hasn't been touched on much. But for the most part, Brent is a charismatic, sometimes dramatically humorous person on the outside. His analytical and quick thinking mind allows for him to blend with a crowd quickly and efficiently. Underneath this lies a darker side to him. He can just as easily become cold and detached, and should something push him enough, mood swings can be set off. He doesn't emotionally attach himself to others well, if at all, and has no grief of any kind about using his wicked and cunning mind to manipulate someone to gain a desired result for his work, or even just a situation. He has extreme difficulty feeling empathy, and has only once, in observed cases, truly shown empathy for anything yet. Brent fully believes in what he does, finishing his objectives granted by plasma with cold and malicious efficiency- should he be questioned about his view on life or the world, you'll be met with either a "why should I care for what has cared little about me?" or a dismissive shake of his head. He has the ability to see and sense auras in the immediate area around him, allowing him to see what a person is feeling as well as where they are at should they be hiding. This comes at the cost of giving him a migraine that begins near immediately and progressively worsens. He wasn't able to gain control of this until he was around 16 years old with the help of a Lucario, and now it works like an on/off switch. |
BACKGROUND
Brent's upbringing was chaotic, and primarily harmful. Having been born with his mental illness into a family that didn't believe in those, he found himself hurt more than anything else. Coming from Dahara City, a large city in Kalos, he was a small speck of dust in a dust storm if you don't count that his parents were very well off.
Not well off enough though. They were largely unaffected by an Unbound Hoopa destroying part of the city, but Brent was heavily effected by that and them. He already lived with slamming headaches, migraines even. Everything always hurt, and he couldn't control his emotions to boot. Brent was a wild and unpredictable child, often harming himself and others, getting into fights with his parents.
His parents didn't believe in the aura seeing either. There was a large, near explosive fight when he was seven years old that resulted in him backing into a fireplace and receiving a nasty burn along his outer thigh. When he was eight, he was sent away to a mental hospital in Anrui with his Elgyem and disowned.
Of course it didn't take a war to separate Brent from his Pokemon, as it was taken into his foster's custody instead. They were plasma employees, but never saw much of Brent, considering how long he spent in a ward. When he was 12, he was diagnosed and placed on mood stabilizers that, after a little while, made a huge difference in who he was and allowed actual progress.
It allowed Brent to start to shine, despite his aura migraines, which were eased by isolation, for the most part. When he was 16, his therapist states that Brent bloomed due to a Lucario helping him learn to shut the aura reading ability off, and how to turn it back on at will through meditation.
He was finally able to start higher levels of schooling where he went off to become a psychologist as well as a psychiatrist. His mild psychopathy helping greatly in his ability to psychoanalyze a person. It made him frighteningly efficient at his job so much that other students were a little frightened of him.
He went on to work for Plasma. He didn't precisely gain Cerebellum back either. He hasn't been allowed to see him in years, up until now.
After some time of working for Plasma, he was contacted about a promotion, as well as the fact that his Elgyem was cleared and determined to be ROT free enough for him to train. Which apparently he was going to start needing a team. He figured he'd find out why when he finally met with one of the professors to pick up Cerebellum.
