"It's going to hatch righ tnow, actually. And it's not mine anyways. It's for a friend of a friend's friend." He grumbled out, looking down at the crack that just split down the top of the egg. "Should be a Seviper... unless that breeder wants to get his nose busted open." Frostbite made some excited tapping noises, watching as a Seviper eventually pressed it's head out of the egg, letting out a curious hiss to the two people and Pokemon looking down at it. Eventually, it slithered out and he debated for a second of putting it on his team... if he didn't have Nidoking already. Omen wouldn't like being replaced. He put one of his hands on his hip and stared down at the Pokemon flicking it's bladed tail. "Guess we better get looking for wild Pokemon you two." He spoke in reference to the newly hatched snake looking to the Spheal and Joltik, as well as said Spheal. rolled for self in discord. Seviper knows Swallow!

"Oh, yeah. I could tell it was about to hatch." She couldn't, but she was going to try and bluff her way through it - she didn't want to look like an idiot after all. Sure she'd just been inside a dumpster, and had to be helped out again, so technically she didn't want to look like more of an idiot. Unfortunately for Ashley's usually decent bluffing skills, she wasn't on top form today - so it was probably obvious that she wasn't being truthful. "Where'd you find the breeder anyway?" It was extremely unlikely that whoever this breeder was, they were linked to Ashley's parents in any way - but she still held on to some hope. They'd never fully gone into Pokemon breeding themselves, just hatched a few eggs and cared for a few infant Pokemon that needed somewhere to be hidden - but with all the connections her parents seemed to have, there was always a chance. Corn joined Frostbite in the excited tapping noises, occasionally looking over at Ashley to see if she was watching too. It was exciting to watch, especially as he'd never seen an egg hatch from this close before. When the newly-hatched Seviper slithered out of the shell, Corn let out a small static-chirp of happiness. Ashley's frown actually faded for a small moment as the egg fully hatched, a soft smile taking it's place - although it was gone again within seconds, and replaced with her usual frown.

Daxton narrowed his eyes and thought to himself about whether or not he'd want to share any information on his connections what so ever, regardless of stated affiliation. He came to the conclusion... no. He reached down to put the Seviper up into a ball once it was done investigating the Joltik and Spheal, clearly exhausted from hatching. "Yeah. Sure you did." He commented, a bland tone but doubt lacing every word, starting to walk down the alley way and looking over his shoulder. "And I ain't giving out the details of the breeder to someone I hardly know." And with that, he carried on walking, searching around for pokemon and eventually picking up Spheal so she wouldn't have to drag her belly across the filthy alleyway. It was up to Ashley to follow him or not.

Of course he wouldn't tell her, why had she even begun to think he would? With how this entire interaction had gone to this point, it was just her luck that he would respond to her question with a refusal. Luckily, it wasn't like she really needed to know anyway. Sure, there was a chance that it would be linked to her parents in some way - but it was such a small chance. Because of this, despite her still being frustrated, she wasn't too bothered - and she wasn't going to ask again just yet. It was also just Ashley's luck that Daxton would start to walk away while responding to her, leaving her alone in the alleyway again. At least she wasn't stuck in a dumpster anymore, but was he really just walking away in the middle of their conversation? What was with this guys attitude, honestly. "Where are you going?" She called out slightly, a frustrated frown growing on her face. After a few seconds she started to follow him, but stopped after a few steps - her attention caught by Corn who was scuttling across the floor towards her. "Come on Corn, we're going after him." She spoke a lot softer to the Joltik and crouched down to pick him up, gently placing him into her pocket again - where he settled and started to feed on the portable charger. Ashley turned down the alley again, and jogged after the male to try and catch up. "You know you can't just walk away when we're still talking." She spoke out again once she was close enough to hopefully be heard.

"Away from here." Daxton continued walking, eyes ripping holes in everything in his path with a harsh glare. "I just did." He answered once again, not giving her much outside of maybe the time of day. If she was persistent enough, he'd probably give up and humor her with basic conversation... As long as she didn't go drawing trouble towards them. "Besides. You're following me anyways." So there really wasn't much he walked away from. His eyes stayed locked on the alleyway ahead. Around them, above them, looking and listening to anything that might grab his interest or jump out at them. Knowing his luck, fucking trainers would be involved.

It took a few seconds for Ashley to fully catch up with the male, trying to walk just behind his left shoulder. If there was room, and if she was able to walk just a bit further forward, she could probably walk level with him - but for once she wasn't pushing her luck to try. "Of course I'm following you, we hadn't finished talking." Technically they didn't have anything else to talk about, so logically they could have finished talking, but Ashley was determined to keep this going. After all, he had just walked away without a word - what if there had been something else they were talking about. Or maybe she just wanted the last word, maybe she wanted to be the one to decide they were finished - that had to be the least likely option, right? "What Pokemon are you even hoping to find for training?" Ashley had no clue what Pokemon hung around the Hyo City Core off the top of her head. She'd seen a few when she was younger, like Rattata scuttling into the shadows to hide or sickly flying-types just pecking at trash, but honestly she couldn't say with certainty what they were likely to come across. Or who they would come across actually. There was always the chance that they got unlucky, or lucky depending on how you looked at it, and stumbled across another trainer. For once Ashley hoped they wouldn't, she didn't want another person joining the interaction and making it even more of a disaster. She tried to look around Daxton to see ahead, hoping to see if anything popped out in front of them - honestly she kind of wanted to see it before the male, just for that sense of pride and ego.

Daxton kept his pace up, thankful that his boots had a thick, hard bottom to them as he moved along. Ashley was still talking, but for now, he was ignoring her and placing Frostbite back into her ball to tuck her back away, unseen. But he also pulled out another ball, releasing a Houndoom that immediately started walking next to him, damn near a mirror in personality. "Hmm." He finally muttered. He was finished talking but she was with him now so. Ugh. "Whatever fits." Attitude, strength and coverage. There probably wasn't anything in particular that he wanted here, but he'd still be able to get some work in on his other Pokemon. Especially the Houndoom next to him that, while loyal, wasn't entirely friendly with him. Valkyrie did come from Abraham, after all. "Maybe a fairy. Snubbull, perhaps." And people could laugh at Snubbull all they wanted. He'd seen a Granbull absolutely body people before, and has tried to handle that same Granbull himself. Easier said than done, they were powerhouses.

While Ashley was trying to keep pace with Daxton, a task that honestly wasn't the easiest, she continued to watch ahead. She hadn't seen anything yet, but to be fair she was having to look around the male - so her view was partially obstructed. She also wasn't paying much attention to the rest of their surroundings, eyes focused straight ahead only. Every few seconds, her jacket was sliding off of her shoulders - at one point almost falling off completely. She pulled it back up each time, but never actually tried to stop the issue, so it would just fall again soon after. Occasionally Ashley put her hand into the pocket to check on Corn, who was honestly unbothered somehow. The little electric-bug was quietly feeding on some electricity, rubbing the top of his head against Ashley's hand whenever she checked in on him. As a new Pokemon was sent out to walk beside Daxton, Ashley actually jumped ever so slightly - but she quickly gained her composure and managed to keep quiet. She just hadn't been expecting the sudden change, and she also hadn't been expecting a fire-type. At least it finally confirmed that the male did have more than just one Pokemon - and with a fully-evolved Houndoom, his team was probably trained up a lot more than her own. It was slightly annoying, because it meant Corn and Bean were not ready to battle him - and she had considered challenging him for a moment. "If it fits that could work. I've only had experience with young Snubbull so..." She shrugged slightly, the image of Daxton with a fairy-type not really registering as humorous - although maybe that would change when she actually saw the two together. Her own experience with Snubbull was honestly very limited. Her parents had definitely had one or two in their care for a small while - but as far as Ashley could remember, the grumpy fairy-types hadn't liked her that much at the time.

The Houndoom glanced out of the corner of it's eyes towards Ashley, and maintained pace with her master, tail swaying with her walk, and a confident posture. "I'll find out when I find out, if I find out." He muttered, not really wanting to humor the person following him, but figuring if he did, she wouldn't have anymore outbursts. Kicking a garbage bag out of the way, he kept going. "Smart person would've fucked off by now. What are you doing in the alleys." He assumed the same thing he was doing, aside from being thrown into a dumpster. He kept leading the way deeper into the alleys, occasionally catching sight of something rattling, his eyes snapping to where things would move, only to deem it a glameow or meowth too skittish to come out into the open.

Ashley tried to keep her eyes straight ahead, fully focused on the path ahead, but for a moment she got that weird sensation of being watched slightly. Sure there were probably a few skittish Pokemon watching and waiting for it to be safe to come out of hiding - but if she had to take a wild guess, she'd say it was the Houndoom's eyes she was feeling. Not that any of her quick glances over to check were confirming that. Honestly she just tried to ignore it, the likely scenario was that she was imagining it - she was feeling a little on edge now that her anger-fuelled adrenaline had started to settle down slightly. "Just looking for something. A new team member, training, whatever I find honestly." Ashley's foot knocked into a stray can on the floor, sending it clattering a short distance until it hit a nearby trash bag. She was going to ignore his insinuation that she wasn't smart, just because she hadn't fucked off by now - well she was ignoring it for now. "I guess I ended up finding you in the end, and if we're here for the same thing..." While finding a fellow Resistance member had been one of the potential outcomes she'd thought about, she hadn't expected it to go like this. Logically it was partly her own fault, she hadn't exactly thought about what she was doing and saying before it landed her directly in a dumpster.
