Kalluk saw the frustration behind the scrunching of the man's face. It didn't disuade her of course - she was more stubborn than most men, after all. She was fairly certain that he had said he wasn't Plasma, but he had also said two other things as well. She wondered for only a moment if perhaps he had just listed off a few statements in order to try to figure out exactly what she was trying to communicate. It didn't necessarily confirm that he wasn't Plasma - she didn't have proof that it was a statement and not just a clarification question directed at her - but he had mentioned the organization without getting a badge out, and that was a start in the right direction.

[break][break]She shook her head quickly, holding up both hands. She wanted him to pause so that she could try again. Slowly, she turned her hands towards herself, bringing her fingers to her chest and tapping a few times. She then moved both hands more in front of her, both palms facing downwards. The hand on top stroked the back of the other hand twice, rather quickly as though she was petting it. As she did so, her eyebrows rose and she looked very intently at the man, hoping to drive home the importance of the action. Finally, she pointed at the riolu once more and waited to see if her second try had been more clear.

[Zethar Igneo Sideris]

Zethar took a moment but it didn't take too long to dawn on him that- yea, maybe the person with him couldn't talk. He wasn't such a cynic that he took it with a grain of salt but he still was a little on edge. Having moved through Hyo, caused a ruckus in front of a pharmaceuticals building and then proceeded to move back through Hyo with his strange eye, backpack and Entei hoodie, who could blame him for being momentarily on edge. His shoulders lost most of their tension though, and he leaned down to pet Nomos, then looked back at the woman before letting his Riolu walk over to her, the puppy looking up at Kalluk with a twitch of his aura feelers. Nomos was brave enough, it seemed, and he was certainly more than willing to get more pets from a stranger. Zethar was right there and had Kyra on his belt, afterall. As much as the cat would probably like to see the dog go, Nomos had a small bit of confidence Kyra would ultimately miss him... not as much as her knife though. "Yea, you can pet him." He motioned once again to the dog looking up at Kalluk.

When he looked at her after petting his riolu, she gave him a small nod, signaling that he was understanding correctly. Crouching, she sat one knee on the ground to stable herself, hoping that her smaller position would put both the pokemon and the trainer at ease. She reached out to the pup with an upturned palm, allowing him to approach her at his own speed. Once he was within petting distance and seemingly interested in the pets, she gave him a little scritch behind the feelers.

[break][break]A wide grin broke out across her face. It was a different smile than the one she had worn earlier. The looks that she had given the stranger were calm, comforting, soft - whatever she could manage to not appear threatening or discomforting. This new smile, however, was full of energy, life, and excitement. She loved pokemon, and it showed in the new light in her eyes as her fingers played with his soft fur.

[break][break]After a few moments she glanced up at the stranger again. She wanted to know if he had stated that he wasn't Plasma earlier, or if he had just offered it as a suggestion, but that would be much more difficult to communicate. Still, she had gotten the chance to pet this critter, and she wanted the opportunity to show the man how much she appreciated it...

[break][break]Remaining in her crouching position, she brought her fingers to her lips briefly before pushing her hand away from her body. It was a fairly universal sign for "thank you," and on occasion some people recognized it. She then looked at Nomos and repeated the same action to him before removing her bag from her back. Pulling out her notebook and a pen - items she kept in her bag specifically for this purpose - she drew a large "P?" and then held it up to show Zethar, an inquisitive look on her face.

Zethar reached behind him to rub at his back between his shoulders as Nomos leaned his heads into the pets, his eyes almost closed as he stood there to soak in the good scritches. At a point though, she stopped and he dropped to all fours to shake his body off before standing back up and giving the woman a nod with his paw to his chest, he was thanking her back. And it was that context that Zethar could relax only a little bit more, nodding his head as she 'told' them thank you in her own manner. He just gave her a nod though and dropped into his own squat so he could pet Nomos, who was tugging on his leggings. As she reached out to write a P though, he shook his head. "Are you?" He asked in counter, pointing back at her.

Kalluk felt an enormous sense of relief when the man shook his head, as though a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders. She wasn't sure why she had been so anxious about it - she hadn't revealed that she had any pokemon, and theoretically a member of Plasma should be kind to an innocent stranger roaming the woods. Perhaps it was just the fact that she no longer needed to worry about being searched and arrested. This stranger could still be dangerous to her, but at the very least he wouldn't be able to get her into legal trouble.

[break][break]She immediately shook her head in response to his question, reading his lips and gesture accurately. Holding up a finger, she signaled for him to wait as she set the notebook on the ground beside her. Then, she pulled her bag closer to her before opening the top of it a little wider in order to show him what was inside. There were some supplies and such, but nestled right in the middle was a tiny green egg with a brown tip, surrounded by five other pokeballs. Smiling, she looked up at him to gauge his reaction, curious as to what it would be.

Zethar tilted his head as he watched her, then eventually smiled at the eggs and Pokeball. While he wasn't going to press if she was resistance or not, considering he was still green, the only experience he had with neutral partied civilians was Sun's Gate. And even a few of them weren't entirely safe feeling around them at the start. They had to learn their leader first and it was- it was a whole fiasco. He watched as Nomos tilted his head at the Pokeballs, then watched the woman a little longer. "That's reassuring. You just heading to Hyo or something else?" Communicating with this woman was hard but he didn't want to be an outright ass about her silence. As his face moved a little bit in confusion, Nomos thumped him once again. 'get out of my head'. Another thump. 'I will punt you.' Damn Riolus and being able to sense emotions. "There's gotta be a better way to communicate, right? I'm not a world class champion at charades. So eh, I dunno how sustainable this is gonna be."
