He was almost out of the city. A small break in an obscure hiding spot in the middle of an abandoned building after capturing a Trubbish and helping take care of Kyra's poisoning and his team was back to tip top shape. The last bit of getting out of this nightmare of a city was through the industrial district. Granted, he'd have to be back here if he wanted to challenge Pixen, but he felt that was a ways down the road.
He'd have to train more and be careful as well. Exhausting his Pokemon would just put him in a bad spot. Zethar was smart, he knew what he was doing, he knew this. As they entered the abandoned part of the industrial district, Zethar took a deep breath and let Nomos back out of his ball, watching as the Riolu looked around, then back up to his new trainer. "Hey Nomos. We're almost out of here." He smiled at the Riolu as he nodded.
He couldn't honestly wait for his sister to meet Kyra and Nomos... Uh meeting his newly caught Trubbish could wait though. He could hear her already. Shaking his head, he waved his hand for Nomos to follow and started walking through the city, adjusting his hoodie as he moved.

As it turned out though, Nomos wouldn't be getting into any battles today. Taking Zethar off guard, and causing an already-sensed-you-coming Riolu to dodge, both he and Nomos looked towards a Zubat that held itself up with it's wings on the ground not far from where they stood. It was broad daylight and blood was involved! Needless to say, he was concerned for his health and his Pokemon's health.
The bat turned towards their noise though, and let out a hostile hiss. So it was going to be like that, wasn't it? Nomos was going to step forward regardless, to protect his annoying new master but found himself quickly retreating from the swirling air around the wings of a sharp dive.
Zethar and Nomos both backed up some more while the trainer patting his belt, finding Kyra's ball and letting the cat free. She had gotten her nap cut short, it seemed and had landed next to a Nomos who had his hackles raised, growling towards the bat that scrambled to get it's bearings.
Zethar wasn't going to send a Riolu up against a rampaging Zubat and Kyra seemed more than happy to smash this bat's face in as it hissed back at her own challenge. Kyra's hiss morphed into a yowl, her hackles standing as tall as she could get them as she watched the Zubat do it's best to glare down the challengers that sounded to be in front of them.
The mean look was followed up directly by another dive after the bat scrambled to get a little air, flailing towards Kyra and striking her along the side with another wing attack, who Nomos, was silently grateful didn't hit him. Zethar just... made a mental note to get Kyra all the treats in the world.
As the bat took it's dive and struck her though, it took a cheapshot after latching onto the cat and sunk it's already bloodied teeth into Kyra. His Meowth let out a pained howl before falling onto her side, front paws wrapped around the attacking pokemon and back legs kicking in a furious scratch.
"Kyra!" Zethar looked at his Pokemon grappling with the bat and- well what the hell was wrong with this pokemon. He'd definitely have to keep an eye on Kyra after this. "Try to put it to sleep or something!" And to Kyra's credit, she definitely tried, and thankfully succeeded.
The bloody grapple ended with the bat falling asleep and letting Kyra get free. Both Zethar and Nomos ran over to kneel next to her, one hand moving to Kyra while another bonked the Zubat aggressively with a pokeball. He pet the Meowth, careful of the bite marks that the bat had just inflicted while Nomos carefully approached her to pet her sides with his master.
Kyra's eyes never left the ball though, a low growl threatening in her throat.
