Well, Zethar had spent a night in a hotel, doing his best to go relatively unnoticed and spend a spot of time with the Pokemon he had just obtained from Coryn. He honestly... had no idea what to expect. He wasn't sure why the Pokemon reminded him of Coryn exactly till he realized it must have been cause the Pokemon was humble. He was humble, yea? He's never heard anyone call him that but that didn't stop him at all from believing that. For the time being, he entirely missed the point that it was supposed to be related to the justice part of the Riolu line. But either way it had gone, there was a personality clash. Now, he had met plenty of Lucario and all of their owners gladly told him about how hard it is to raise one. They require a bond, and they're very energetic and hard to control. All of it sounded easy, he knew it'd be easy too. Forming a bond with a wild and difficult to control Pokemon was right up his alley. What wasn't up his alley was the personality clash and while they had a few good moments, they also had a few moments of the Riolu striking him out of annoyance and him calling him a little shit under his breath. They both caught their rest though and now they were out and about in a vague part of the harbor, wandering aimlessly, currently. He had, several ideas of what to do but honest to Entei, had no idea where to start. He'd never admit it though, and to Nomos's annoyance, he actually pretended to know what he was doing. That's how they wound up just standing on the edge of a nasty ass beach just... standing there.

It wasn't long before a Pokemon came into a view. A meowth, chasing and playing with something somewhat shiny as it knocked it across the ground. The cat stood up on it's hind legs before long and Zethar had to ask. "What cha got there?" He'd probably spook it off, and Nomos was watching deadpan before it's eyes caught on to what it was. Nomo's shock was shortly followed by Zethar when the Meowth picked up and waved a knife at them, grinning madly. "Wait! No!" He tried before the Meowth went back to wildly playing with the knife. Zethar looked down to Nomos and sighed. "She's going to hurt herself." Nomos followed him with a nod and looked back to the Meowth, who was once again watching them, putting her knife down for now and hissing. "Also don't think she wants us here. Hmm." Reaching up, he rubbed his chin. "Get out there Nomos." Nomos, while questioning what exactly his master was trying to do, jumped out in front of him, looking back to Zethar. "Not the most ideal way to make friends but I don't exactly know how to approach a Pokemon with a knife. Now Nomos, Metal Claw!" He called out right as the dog and cat dove at each other, Nomos took a scratch right to the arm but also got a charged Metal Claw in. Already a rough start. The fight continued on, the Meowth's hackles raised as well as his Riolu's, another pounce though and Zethar called out for a dodge. Thankfully his mouth runs faster than his brain, often times. Zethar watched as Nomos drew back, rolling backwards out of the way of the Scratch before reaching back, and with a powerful strike, punched the ground, causing to shake, strike the Meowth and take Zethar off enough of a guard that he failed to catch his balance and landed on his ass. "You didn't tell me you could do that!" Nomos took a second from the battle to look over his shoulder, huffing at Zethar. Well... he couldn't rightly show him the earthquake inside of a building, now could he? Their non-verbal exchange didn't last long before the Meowth was getting back up and... well, it had hurt Nomos pretty bad and he couldn't have him downed like that. He'd feel terrible anyways for letting it happen so soon. Reaching into his bag, he threw a Pokeball at the Meowth. Right, that Earthquake likely drew attention too. He'd have to get the fuck out of here as well. Riolu | Male | 8 Steadfast | Inner Focus quick attack | endure | feint | metal claw earthquake Nomos dodged Scratch! Meowth took Earthquake (and zethar) -28% Zethar threw a Pokeball!

The meowth broke free from the pokeball!

An attractive young man walking around with a riolu was already noticeable, and now your pokemon has used quite the powerful and widespread attack. Better wrap things up before someone spots you!

"Shit." Zethar spoke under his breath as the cat broke free, letting out a yowl before immediately diving in for another scratch. "Nomos move!" He called out, watching as his ever agile Riolu swiftly bounded out of the way of the attack, prepping for more combat as Zethar reached to grab another ball. They would have to get out of here and Nomos wasn't in the spot to be trying to dole out damage. They couldn't fuck around and find out, not after that earthquake. Zethar threw the ball, once again beaning the Meowth and setting his feet into the ground once he had dusted himself off from the sudden earthquake. Nomos watched as well, his little paws curling into his best attempt at fists as he watched. He really didn't want to have to deal with people, so all they could do right now was hope as the ball clapped shut and started rocking where it sat. Zethar hadn't even noticed that he started sweating a little bit from the stress of it, his tongue dry in his mouth.
