Very easily, the large, angry man could have stomped on with Giu, but big angry man also had common sense. So he slowed down just enough to allow Giu to take the slight lead. Let something come at the two of them, Daxton was armed to his teeth and needed a punching bag. Tugging on the fingerless gloves he wore, he kept up behind the other man.
"Heading away from the River could have been caused by the sudden introduction of a predator they're not used to. That or some sort of madness." Rabies had a tendency to cause those inflicted with it to have an irrational fear of drinking water, but there was bound to be something that'd cause them to flee. "I dealt with some fuckers a little bit ago and the tampered wild life included a very angry bird Pokemon clutching the signs of a destroyed nest."
So introducing a predator into the Poliwhirl's home waters would be no shock to Daxton. That didn't stop concern from coiling in his gut over the Pokemon though. "Did you see where they went after that?"

[nospaces] [googlefont=Roboto:400,400i,700] [newclass=.vagrantPost]--vagrantAccent:#4c4c4c;[/newclass] [attr="class","vagrantPost"] [attr="class","vagrantHeader"] [attr="class","vagrantBody"] [break][break] “Madness...” Giuseppe muttered to himself as he and his houndoom picked through the thick underbrush of the Casulari Jungle. With it being such a dangerous location, any sort of ‘path’ that could be found in the maze of trees, vines, and bushes was overgrown and nearly imperceptible. As someone who had spent years in and out of the area, Giuseppe felt it was relatively easy to navigate however, reading his surroundings like a passage from a beloved childhood book. [break][break]He had never believed in R.O.T., or at least not the disease that pokemon had described. He was certain he would have witnessed it as a teenager, given how much time he spent observing the wild pokemon. Still, could there be a disease - perhaps one more rare than whatever R.O.T. truly was - that could be doing this to the pokemon? [break][break]Remaining otherwise quiet as Daxton spoke, Giuseppe considered the story that he told. Without having been there to witness it himself, it was difficult to picture. The pokemon of the Casulari were known to be ruthless, but the man behind him didn’t seem like the type to underestimate them. So then, was it a case of a typical Anruian pokemon, pissed off about someone destroying its nest? Or was it something more? Something… angrier? [break][break] “I did not see where they went,” he answered, stepping over a fallen tree. “I was on my way to the river myself to gather some water, so I did not follow them. I did not see anything suspicious at the riverbank, however.”[break][break]Reaching a tiny clearing, he stopped and looked around, searching for signs of anything odd such as foot or paw prints, snapped branches, or anything alien that wouldn’t normally be found in the jungle. “This is where I came across them. The river is that way,” he said, pointing approximately in the direction that they had been heading. “But the poliwhirl went that way.” His arm shifted, pointing at a different angle, further to the right. [break][break]Confident that nothing at the time of his visit had been out of place by the water, he began trekking instead in the direction that the poliwhirl had gone in. Daxton didn't quite kick at the dirt like he wanted to, though his calf muscles tensed tightly in consideration. He stood in the clearing a moment longer, Gaichu still in the air, circling where Daxton now stood, making large arcs in the air. No point in standing around and getting angry at faces you haven't seen to punch in yet. Though at least a face better pop up pretty fucking soon.
He swallowed the roiling anger in the back of his throat, that same anger that made him want to bellow out a war cry and start a fight. Anger that wanted to shout everything he felt and funnel it into the nearest, poor, target. He didn't take long before he turned and followed Giuseppe in the direction that he had stated the Poliwhirl had gone. He was as tense and tight as always.
He was tempted to go back the opposite direction that the Poliwhirl had gone, but it was more important to check on them if they were anywhere nearby, but also... "So you saw... nothing?" He asked, clearing his gruff voice quietly as he widened his pace to get just a hair closer. "Wonder if they haven't cycled back to wherever they set up their nest. Maybe."
He was concerned for the Pokemon, so he'd follow this guy first. He still didn't trust him fully, to be honest he trusted very few people outright. And he still trusted very few people he'd known for years. He wasn't too sure about what the supposed R.O.T. was like before all this started, but he'd read enough to have gotten to form his own opinion of it being that it was bullshit still that if it was such a serious and detrimental thing that Plasma had to make training illegal.
Disarming the public. It pissed him off.
