APPEARANCE
Nixie is 6ft and a healthy 175lbs of lean swimmers build. She wears her hair in a cropped black bob occasionally wearing a dark purple or blue dye in the lower layers. She has clear, vibrant sea blue eyes that draw in any unwitting victims of this alluring siren. She has a warm tan from all the sun she soaks up when she is not locked in a laboratory. Nixie has a varied wardrobe but the most frequently seen is her long business slacks and long skirts accompanied by short sleeve blouses when she is wearing a lab coat or long sleeves when she is not. She prefers to wear heels on a daily basis to work unless she has to get up close and personal with her charges and then she will generally be found in a wet suit and water shoes. In her more leisurely time, Nixie prefers as few layers as possible; keeping a high inventory of shorts and tank tops, sandals, and a pair of tennis shoes. A night out for this aquatic beauty consists of a revealing club dress, strappy stilettos, and bright lipstick.

Left Hip/Stomach she has a Sharpedo Bite Scar that she has rimmed in the likeness of the bite as a tattoo.
Right hip: Jellicent
Left and Right calf-Twin Sharks one blue/green the other purple/red. One symbolizes her love of the ocean while the other is a tribute to her love of the night sky and nebulas.

PERSONALITY

On one hand she can be patient and then the next she is giving an idiot 3rd degree burns. She can be bright and energetic and then the next she’s quiet and withdrawn. She can be very social and enjoys meeting new people, even if the next day she doesn’t speak to them again. She destresses by being social with at least one individual; though she truly begins to unwind (if she ever finds someone she’s comfortable with) just loafing around the house or doing something with them. At 29, she is well on her way to being considered an authority in her field due to her genius ingenuity and insight, outside of work she keeps this quality about her humble and quiet. Should you encounter her during her work she is very dominant and in control of her environment, always taking every possibility, she can into account and making sure her ship runs smoothly, ultimately for the safety of those she works with and those she is charged after. Should you prove yourself incompetent she will dismiss you immediately as she has no tolerance or room for error. Her work is critical and her charges require the utmost competent and safe environments. She is independent, capable, confident, and headstrong; the role of being a leader comes naturally to her and she exudes this both in her work place and in social settings. She is not perfect though and comes with her own flaws. When the opportunity presents itself, she indulges in her addictive traits and is more than happy to over indulge on her vices and believes that life is meant to be lived and imbibed with fervor. Though in her case she can be more fervent than most. Her genuine personality under the daily mask can be rather apathetic with most of the world and its dealings. If someone where to begin pouring their heart and soul out about a problem she would be the first to dismiss herself rather harshly should she be in one of her moods. She has the mentality that if you are worth your salt you will strive, regardless of the obstacles, to overcome them. However, if you are one of the few people that has ever been able to find a long-term friend or companion in her she is very empathetic and compassionate to those she cares for. It’s not a feat easily done and she doesn’t make it easy at times. |
BACKGROUND
Nixie’s family never had a great start. Mom was an independent contractor that had too much work on her plate with the tensions between Plasma and the Resistance. While dad was his own freelancer that tended to favor sticking it to ‘the man’ any chance it appeared. Ultimately, her father’s activities became known to Plasma and he absconded into Resistance territory while Nixie and her mother were relocated to Hyo City and Mrs. Ran’s independent contracting became less independent and more classified. Whether or not this was a good thing was to be debated but her mother had done what she thought was best for the situation securing herself a stable future for her and her daughter as a result of selling out her husbands Resistance work. What exactly happened to her dad is uncertain, all Nixie was told was there had been an accident and her father was gone. This all happened when Nixie was ten years old and that set a tone for the rest of her adolescents.
Nixie became very withdrawn in school and isolated herself from most people until the age of 13/14 when she somehow managed to end up with her first boyfriend. It wasn’t a romance or anything just…a nerdy girl being picked up by some punk ass kid and the influence he had on her was transformative. She went from being the sequestered nerdy girl to a angsty high schooler with a promiscuous reputation. Granted this started after a rather nasty brake up between her and punk ass because she wouldn’t put out, so he spread rumors that she was a sex freak. So, like any reasonable high schooler she got back at him by living up to the rumors just not with him. Despite all the drama she still worked hard at her studies and graduated top of her class and was valedictorian at 18.
From there she went on to study marine biology with an emphasis in the Marine Behavioral Sciences where she studied predators and their behavioral interactions with theirs and other species. Sharpedo, Carvanha, Toxapex, and more have been animal groups that she studied and tagged up through her time interning and working on her master’s degree. When she wasn’t working with the tanks and finned creatures, Nixie was found doing work on the side as a dominatrix. It paid good money and she was able to do her work in the evenings and it didn’t take away from her daily work. Around the age of 21 she did get married, ended up being a rather poor decision and rather abusive it would have ended with a knife in her side and left to the wilds of Anrui if her neighbor hadn’t called the police before it was too late. As a result of this incident her husband was arrested, divorce was filed, and she was stuck with a nasty scar on her left abdomen and the medical requirement of a hysterectomy. If it hadn’t been for her support system in her internship and the pokemon she worked with she might have given up at that point in her life, but she learned a valuable lesson that not matter the obstacles she would always overcome them. Now she’s established with her Masters degree and working on her Ph.D while she works for Plasma Labs.
