This town's too laid back (solo/catch thread)

[Kain Meisan]

     Having finally made it through the deep caverns of the route behind him, Kain found himself coming upon a small peaceful looking town. The very atmosphere of the place was lighter and free of the hostility he felt back in Hyo city. Why then did it bother him so much? Was he so used to that weight, that suffocating air, that breathing fresh air in a place of such peace was near toxic to him? It was also possible that he was one of those sorts who didn't care for peace, only his own ambitions.

    The people here smiled at one another so commonly and seemed to genuinely act neighborly while the pokemon did not act fearful toward humans for the most part and did not display the aggression that the pokemon of Hyo city did. Kain stood out with his silent demeanor and unapproachable appearance. He wasn't here to make friends though, he was here to gather intel and acquire a new pokemon or two in order to have a strong team for Hyo's gym. If he wanted to make a statement in the resistance, he needed to prove his strength and talent in the gym battles over anything else. He wasn't sure what to expect from them nor where they were aside from one being in Hyo city somewhere. He had no time to worry about that yet though as he felt hardly strong enough to even try to take on a gym.

    He walked around the small town looking for any pokemon that weren't already pets as well as pokemon that looked strong or useful to him. He sought those pokemon which would become assets to his team and compliment those he currently had. He had hoped that this little journey to Katsu town then back to Hyo city would be the preparation he needed but he could never be too sure. Instead of dwelling on the distant future, he simply focused on the task at hand.

[Kain Meisan]

    Kain was fairly proactive in his search. He was making a good effort to find the right one. He looked up to the roof and treetops and down under the porches of the houses. His eyes finally locked with a large bull pokemon, a pokemon who was intimidating and staring at Kain in a very awkward and creepy manner.

    Kain quickly turned and looked the other way. He didn't know what to expect from that pokemon but he didn't like the way it stared at him. He made sure to slowly walk away. He wasn't aware that he was being followed by the tauros who was both curious of the young trainer while also not really liking Kain. Kain was just trying to avoid making the tauros charge at him as he wasn't sure if any of his pokemon could handle such a fierce and large pokemon. It was strong like Kain needed but that one looked a bit too strong and Kain recognized the look in it's eyes, the look of disdain. That pokemon was not the right one.

    Kain then stopped as a small black and white kitten was playing with a feather on the ground. The little pokemon was playful and a bit rambunctious. Kain didn't want to risk scaring it off though it seemed familiar. In some way or another it reminded him of the meowth he had faced back in Hyo city, yet it was also very different. It didn't seem to be all too fierce or strong but it had this look in it's eyes that said differently as it continued to play alone. It didn't seem any other pokemon wanted to be too close to the kitten. Kain shrugged and figured he'd try and challenge the little cat pokemon to see if there was more to it than it let on.

 

    "Alright Champ........ Let me see what you got......" Kain muttered under his breath as he threw out a pokeball calmly without drawing a bunch of attention to himself. He wasn't sure if Plasma had a presence or spies here or not but he had yet to see any of them floating around. He figured he could always flee if things became troublesome. The little sandile jumped forward with a fired up look on it's face as the litten continued to ignore it. Champ wasn't the type to accept being ignored, in it's anger it kicked up sand at litten and the feather to interrupt it's play. The litten was not amused as Champ got back into a fighting stance, this time the little kitten did the same and got ready for a fight. They stared eachother down though litten kept blinking from the sand that got into it's eyes.

    Though Kain was unaware, he had a lurking stalker staring at him from behind waiting to make a move. The tauros from before was still lingering around as it's anger slowly grew. Normally pokemon here were friendlier than in other areas but tauros were known for being quick to anger and this particular tauros just did not care for Kain. It just hadn't yet decided to make it's move.
