Khatijah listened to Enzo's list of pokemon. She recognized most of them, although the salandit in particular was one she was most interested in. Her own salandit didn't know many moves, so she had to beef it up with rare candies fairly often. Still, she knew her salazzle would be well worth it someday, and the pokemon was still young - it had a lot of growing to do before she wrote it off as weak.
Her eyes then flit to the spritzee and the joltik as Enzo described them. Now that he mentioned it, she could see a small blob of yellow climbing up a wire to a neon sign. As it found a spot to pause, the sign flickered. Between the flicker of light and the name of the pokemon, Khat had a feeling it was an electric type, and it looked like a bug type. She wasn't as familiar with fairy types, so maybe she'd learn something by watching Enzo battle it.
"Sure," she answered excitedly. "I'll take on the joltik." She didn't give him much of a choice as she then turned to Rameen, her growlithe. "Your job is to watch the piplup. Let me know if she wanders off again. Herd her back." Rameen nodded up at her trainer, happy to have the role of babysitter. It was fine if her trainer didn't want her to battle - she'd make herself useful this way instead. She wandered closer to the piplup, laying beside her and the lucario. Piplup took the cue from the older pokemon and also sat, ready to watch the battle.
Khat strolled towards the spritzee, who was staring at her like a statue. She cocked an eyebrow, but she didn't interact with it otherwise. Instead, she pulled her gaze up to the joltik as she released her cubone. "Hey bug. Let's fight." Her cubone, Basila, blinked up at her foe.

Enzo watched the two wild Pokemon with furrowed eyebrows. Just... what was the Spritzee trying to do? Was that it's way of hiding, or were Khat and his self really that scary to look at? Maybe it saw the Lucario and locked up? Which, come to think of it, would be reasonable due to the typing of both Pokemon. Looking over at Khat, he gave her a nod and turned to Cadenza. "Keep your aura aware for any other humans."
The Lucario was still learning it's aura, so if anyone was coming, they probably wouldn't get the best warning out there, but it would still be some sort of warning. Turning back to the battle, he went ahead and sent out Capella. His sister wanted to fight the bug type, so that obviously meant that he'd take on the Spritzee. He wasn't going to waste breath on confirming that. Instead, he needed to use that breath to fend off the biting Pokemon. "No! Thats a bad lizard! Capella!" He argued with the Salandit, narrowly pulling his leg out of the way of one of her bites.
Her tail lashed playfully, but Enzo's eye twitched with irritation. "Save it for the Spritzee dammit!" He continued arguing with the lizard, earning a strange noise back with every word. Her jaws opened wide and seemingly laughing at him. She didn't try to bite him anymore though, and turned to find this Spritzee that her human was talking about. ... It wasn't that hard either, considering it was just... there. Opening her mouth at the Spritzee, she showed off the corrosive toxins dripping from her jaws, challenging the Pokemon in her own way.

continuing this as a solo/duo!
Basila was most certainly not the most confident pokemon on her team, however she was one of the bravest. While some of her other teammates seemed to be able to stare danger in the eye without a single concern for their own wellbeing, Basila found herself feeling shaky at even the smallest sense of misfortune. Still, she admired the confidence that her trainer often displayed, and she wished dearly that she might feel the same way someday, and so she acted as though she was more confident and brave than she really was. Khatijah could tell that the cubone did this - by now, she could read the pokemon like a book - but she didn't let on that she knew, fearing it would have the opposite than desired effect.
"Let's start with a thief attack. Find out if it's carrying any berries or... something," she commanded. A pokemon as small as the joltik likely wouldn't be able to carry anything even if it wanted to. However, sometimes the smallest of keys were needed to pick a lock, and she'd never pass up an opportunity to steal something useful.
The cubone nodded. This particular opponent wasn't large at all, so for once her confidence didn't seem to be completely fake. Dashing forward, she lifted her club and swung it at the joltik, hoping not only to knock it off the wire, but also to knock anything that it had with it off as well.
Meanwhile, the spritzee did not like the look of the salandit lashing its disgusting teeth at him. Unable to keep his frozen facade, he cringed at the sight of the incisors, pulling his wings up to his face in an attempt to hide from it. Without realizing it, his body naturally began to let out a sweet scent, one that might sooth some of the other pokemon on the field...
