[Khatijah al-Malika]

Her heels clicked on the ground as she walked. Where the fuck were all the pokemon? Wasn't Hyo City supposed to be filled with them?

While the Arboks were in town, she had decided to wander off and do some training. She let the boys know that she was going for a shopping trip, and then disappeared without question. It wasn't that they would stop her from training her pokemon or judge her... It was more that she didn't want them to know how pathetically weak her pokemon were right now. She couldn't blame them, really. Most of them had hatched from eggs not long ago and even she knew that newborns weren't strong. Instead of getting angry that they were so small, she needed to take that pent up frustration and put it into training them. And so here she was, wrapped up in a light coat with a cub of java to keep her warm. Her black bag hung from her shoulder, housing four eggs tucked between a blanket. She had left most of her supplies at home, including for once her large staff. She figured she could physically fight off any attackers in Hyo, or scream loud enough that they'd run for cover.

Rameen, her growlithe, trotted along beside her. So far, Rameen seemed to be the most serious of her pokemon, and so she liked to have her out with her. The pup knew enough to instinctively hide anytime they heard anyone coming near, and the two of them never crossed a busy street at the same time.

It was just about as Khat was about to kick a trash can angrily that she felt the wiggle in her backpack. Blinking, she stopped mid-kick and set her foot down before checking to see if anyone was watching. After a glance left, right, and up, Khat bent down and opened her bag, revealing the head of a rather cute little blue pokemon. Immediately, Rameen was at her side. After staring at each other for a few seconds the piplup silently began to crawl its way out of Khat's bag as she watched, an eyebrow cocked.

Quietly, Khat closed her bag back up and set it on her shoulder again, and then looked to see where the piplup was walking to. "Um, hello?" Khat said, obviously a little perturbed that the piplup had barely acknowledged her.

Enzo's day had been mega boring after school. After school music class had let out, he had to deal with just sitting behind the piano once again while the rest of the students fumbled with their instruments and he lost his mind with boredom. Brio wasn't here today, in fact, most of his huge Pokemon weren't. They were all helping his dad with some work around the house, so the biggest and meanest thing by his side today was his Lucario and a Beldum, and they weren't all that intimidating for their kind either. They continued roaming, boredom eating at them until he saw a familiar figure off in the distance. "Oh no." He muttered. Did she remember what he said at the battle place? Ah shit. After a moment of consideration for his life, he let out a sigh and walked over to Khat, hands shoved into the pockets of his torn up jacket. "Oh hey sis whatcha got there?" he said quickly as he approached from behind, hopefully he could get some kinda start out of her. He was going to die anyways. Of course Khat, ever alert, knew that someone was near. Rameen, who didn't know Enzo nearly as well as Khat did, took him as a stranger and quickly dove behind a trash can so that she could watch the stranger for any sign of danger. Khat noticed this, and hoped whoever it was hadn't seen the piplup crawl out of her bag. Standing up straight, she gently pulled her bag back onto her shoulders, careful of the remaining eggs inside. She then pulled out her pokevice to open a map, and began looking around as if she was lost.

Although she wouldn't admit it if you asked, his voice did make her jump just a tad. Immediately angry, she whipped around, her off-colored hair flowing around her like a dress. She took a step towards him and reached out to grab him, but as her mind caught up with her adrenaline, she stopped herself. She did always have just the slightest amount of patience for her little brother, which more often than not probably saved him from at least getting his ass physically beaten.

"Enzo, what the fuck!" she exclaimed, not having time to come up with a nickname that would rub him the wrong way. She lowered her fists but was obviously still tense. Meanwhile, Rameen carefully made her way out from the trash cans, coming forward to sniff Enzo's foot. "How do you keep finding me?" she asked, suspicion lacing her words.

Meanwhile, the newborn piplup was stumbling further and further away down the alley.

Enzo grinned but squeaked at the same time as her hand reached out to snatch him. He backed up some, chuckling like an idiot, his school bag bouncing with his laughter. "I live in Hyo sis. After school orchestra practice just let out not too long ago." Once he opened his eyes from the laughter, he gave Rameen some attention apologizing quietly for blasting her with earthquake a little while back. "I was actually roaming around this area, lookin to hopefully get Forte here to evolve." He stated, patting his Beldum floating next to his side. He watched his sister for a moment and considered a thought, but quickly dropped it when he noticed the Piplup roaming away. "heyheyheyit'sdangerousinthesealleys!" Motioning to Cadenza, he pointed down the way in a silent order to go stop the baby Pokemon from going any further. To be honest, he was kinda surprised he noticed it, but he had an eye for finding Pokemon for a number of reasons. Ever since he had turned sixteen, he had been going on patrols and such alone. They were stressful, but he was getting paid for it. Even with money though, Enzo just saved rather than replace his torn up clothing. His dad usually kept proper clothes in stock for him though. Couldn't be angry at a guy that cared... no matter how embarrassing it was. "Anyways. Whatcha doin here?" lol maybe :P Khatijah al-Malika

Rameen immediately took a step back from Enzo when he gave her the smallest amount of attention. She was a guard dog through and through, after all, and there was no way she was going to get chummy with this blond. She stared up at him and then glanced at his two pokemon, her face serious.

Khat didn't crack a smile when Enzo laughed. When he explained to her the (quite obvious) reason that he was always finding her in Hyo City, she scowled, blinking slowly in an annoyed fashion. There wasn't anything specific that he had said that would have annoyed her - it was simply the fact that he had a legitimate reason against what she originally thought was suspicious.

In other words, she was wrong. Marginally wrong, but still wrong.

Her eyes drifted lazily to the beldum beside him when he patted it. Beldum were odd pokemon that she didn't know much about, but she was sure, knowing Enzo, that this one would be just as difficult to defeat as his other pokemon. Or at least as usefull. Enzo had never been one to be particularly frivolous, after all, so she doubted he'd train something that wouldn't be of use to him.

The next words that came out of his mouth jarred her. Her and Rameen's eyes widening, Khat swung herself around to look at what he was pointing at. Her bag jostled on her back, but she typically kept the straps short so that it didn't slide during missions, so for the most part the eggs inside only shifted slightly within their blanket. It was then that the piplup came back to the front of her mind. She gasped and took a step forward, but the lucario that had been standing beside Enzo was already on the move. She stopped herself, watching the anubis-like pokemon go after her own little bird.

She scowled at his next question as well. Although she didn't want to admit it, Enzo already knew that she was weak. After all, he had just schooled her in the Battle Arena not long ago. Slowly, she looked at the ground and turned back towards her brother. "Actually, I'm here to train as well," she said quietly, although not weakly. "The Arboks are in town, and I told them I was going shopping." She tilted her head and smiled at her little brother, a thought coming to mind. "You and I can train together, if you'd like," she suggested. "It'd be just like when we were little." Vague memories of them playing together with their old pokemon came to mind, but they were mostly bits and pieces for her at that point

Meanwhile, the piplup wouldn't get very far on her short, new legs. She waddled as quickly away from the lucario as she could, but it would only be a few seconds before Cadenza would catch up to her. There wasn't much she'd be able to do about stopping him from picking her up and taking her back to her trainer other than flap her wings and wiggle her feet and otherwise be a nuisance.

Looking down at the growlithe, he gave a light shrug before his attention returned to his sister. He was used to Pokemon with an attitude towards him. It came with the job. When she mentioned training together, a large grin took over his face before it was quickly wiped away, turning to focus on his Lucario bringing his sister's Piplup back to the group. "It's been a while since I've trained with anyone outside of the group. I'd love to sis." His voice was honestly excited. Training with other team plasma grunts could get boring, especially when they weren't up to par with is current 'work' team. Brio alone made short work of other Pokemon with his broad moveset, so for a while, Enzo didn't really need to focus on his other Pokemon. Now that he was going on missions on his own now... yea. He needed to make sure he had ample pokemon to choose from for wherever the mission sent him. "Who're you trainin?" He asked innocently, thinking on his own team. He didn't want to send anything out that'd conflict with or get in the way of her own Pokemon. From what he saw at the last battle, his sister wasn't as well versed as he originally thought with the more advanced mechanics of battle. Until Forte evolved though, he'd be relatively out of the way, and it seemed that Forte was getting pretty close to that as was. He couldn't wait. One step closer to a Metagross, one of the coolest and most efficient Pokemon that a trainer could ask for. Powerful, defensive, flexible and capable of Mega Evolution, Metagross were actually prized by a lot of their trainers simply for the fact that they got it up to that point. Needless to say, he was hyped. "More than likely, down this alley, there should be a few wild pokemon for us to beat around behind cover." The egg in his bag still held still, and if it wasn't for an occasional movement, he'd have forgotten it existed entirely. His backpack was nearly empty, save for a couple of text books and an egg, of course. I'm giving him this egg to hatch becuz shiny glaceon inbound for emma Shiny Eevee 1/10-15

She smiled at her little brother - genuinely smiled. The two of them were like a typical older sister/younger brother combo. He bugged her. She picked on him. They fought regularly. However, deep down there was a bond between them that was unbreakable, and now that she didn't see him every day, she sort of missed the little squirt, although she wouldn't admit it.

Khat tilted her eyes up and to the right, thinking of the pokemon she had brought with her. "I've got my growlithe, my cubone, my salandit... my kangaskhan... and this piplup, I guess," she said, watching the small bird interact with cadenza. The two were similar in color but vastly different in size. "They're all pretty young. I hatched most of them from eggs."

She was about to ask Enzo who he had with him when she spotted some movement beyond the two blue pokemon. "What's that?" she asked, pointing at a pink bird thing. She couldn't see the joltik from where she was, but the bird seemed like a pokemon and that was exactly what she wanted.

Enzo shifted the bag containing the egg once more and watched as Cadenza's ears twitched. "I've got Beldum, Lucario, Salandit, Larvitar, Deino and Skiddo with me. They're all pretty young too, save for the Beldum. So we'll be on near equal ground." He reassured her on that fact, looking past the blue pokemon with her, though from his angle, he also saw the tiny little electric type, searching for... something. "That's a Spritzee. A fairy type. It was actually used for perfume in the old days and you can change what it smells like depending on what it eats. Looks like it's also checking out a Joltik." Looking to the Lucario and the Piplup, he considered them for a moment. She did seem to have a grasp on basic type advantages, but he wasn't sure how versed she was in general, or if she knew what a Joltik was. "....... wanna fight it?" He asked, grinning up at her, mischief on both his and his Lucario's face. Even the dog had turned his head enough to give a sneaky grin back to both of them, the best a Lucario could, before putting his attention back on the baby Piplup next to him. Didn't need her running off to get into trouble anyways.

The blonde squirt was right on the money for indeed that was a Spritzee eyeballing a little Joltik as it skittered about the wall of this graffitied alley. And skittered it did right up until it hooked itself on a cord of a flashing neon sign and began to gnaw into the wiring, the further the Joltik got the more the sign flickered. To a bystander it might make them blink in annoyance, or worse have an epileptic seizure. Hopefully neither of you have to worry about the hungry fuzzy spiders feeding habits.

Meanwhile the bright pink ball of fluff just watches the lights and bumps along the wall and over some trashcans as the joltik chews its way through the rubber coating of the cord and into the wiring. After a while it spins around in a circle to see the two of you in which case it freezes in fright. Perhaps if it stays still you cannot see it and therefore will leave it alone.
