Oh look battle related stuff

PvP
Now with that out of the way, I am willing to play quite a bit, hateships, friendships, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, whichever whatever. I do, in fact, also love PvP, in actual games and in RP, so if you're looking for Pokemon battles, I'd be more than willing to see about whether or not we can do that. I do use battle calculators for a number of reasons! It keeps a majority of battles balanced and short! Especially with a 2 attack per turn system that we use here, it can also stop people from cheating themselves by compensating too much damage, or accidentally/purposefully cheating others out of damage done to them. Either way the main thing is to keep the threads on a good timer! Free-form battles have a tendency to drag. Take it from me, I've done quite a bit of Pokemon battles on other sites with different formats! It gets tedious LMAO.

PvP extended + helping learn fair PvP:
As for player versus actual player, I will be wary about that since people do have a tendency to powerplay whether they know it or not. If you are new to PvP, be it actual characters fighting or Pokemon battles, and you would be interested in learning, I'm your self-proclaimed go-to for that. If you would like characters to learn combat, I have several potential characters to ICly teach you, and I can OOCly teach you as well. Zeus and Daxton (albeit he's a rough one) can teach actual combat! As for Pokemon battles, Raymond is the best go to, Zeus following up in second, Daxton in third and Zametrius and Enzo tying.

Remember, the first rule is to be fair to others but also be fair to yourself!

PvE Wild / Trainer NPCs:
I do also love PvE, even if it's you taking control of the Pokemon to beat it up since we can't program an actual game into the site! If you want to go out and beat up some wild Pokemon for a thread, I'd be more than willing to do it!

PvE Wild + (Zeus):
I have a service in my shop where I'll offer to catch Pokemon for people in exchange for being paid using Zeus. If you really want to meet Zeus and you use this service, this is a good excuse to get to meet Zeus!

PvE Battle Arena + (Ray):
If you want to battle Arena, I have several toons that are good for that! Raymond is my hardcore battler, the one who does competitive right. Zeus, Daxton and Zametrius are also good but when it really comes to battle arenas, Ray is where you wanna go! No one does battles quite like Raymond if you have to pick from my roster and he's always enthusiastic about Battle Arenas.

Friendship, hateship, ship ship it doesn't matter to me (so long as you follow my absolute nos). Friendships and hateships are easy enough to accomplish, but I'm a bit more gatey about ship ships since those tend to leave impacts on characters (and everyone who knows all know it's not fun to try to figure out what to do if the character's ship leaves the site suddenly). If you want to try to plot a ship between one of my characters and yours, all I ask is be respectful of their sexualities. I've seen more than enough of "if only they were straight" and other responses. I also don't take kindly to attempts to erase sexualities and I'll politely end the conversation there if it comes to that.

You can post on here and I'll more than likely see it, I guarantee it! You can tag characters as well and I'll get back to you. If you also want, you can PM that specific character or this post's account. I'm also willing to trade discords under most circumstances!

Axel, while violent and hard to predict under that stoic shell of his, is actually capable of making friends. He has "his own damn issues to deal with" and those issues being staying away from homelessness while saving up. If he isn't being driven insane by his friend or yelling in the hectic kitchen work place, he can be a relatively quiet person. Just be careful how you poke him...

He's a former gang member but don't let that former get to you. It's very easy to piss Axel off and it's even easier to get onto and stay on his bad side. He's an angry man who doesn't take shit from nobody, but occasionally giving shit to him is met with friendship. In most cases, giving him shit will make him hate you.

Ahem. The death of his twin has left him a mess, among the lost custody of his son, Daxton has been left a violent husk in the face of the hollow feeling since Dayton's passing. It takes a special person just to befriend him, but the basic requirements are finicky and odd, the best bet is to plot them together whether in thread or DMs and to see what we would potentially get out of them. Either way, it'd take time just to even be considered a friend. Co-worker is a good starting point.

Friends: Zeus and the Syndicate: Namely Zeus and Browley, among the most of them, these people having been a part of his life for not quite as long as it would have been if Weston kept his memory, but long enough that there's a sort of kindred spirit there and the fact that they'll force their love on you and they are not to be reckoned with. Even the ill ones will beat your ass...

Miyuki Umeyama - ??? A building potential friendship, where Miyuki has annoyed Dax, but has yet to piss him off. He views him as a massive dumbass though, but is more than willing to help him learn how to protect himself for god knows fucking why. There may be a part of Daxton's protective nature still left somewhere inside of him.

ENEMIES

Very few things have been left unchanged since his twin's passing, but one of those things remaining unchanged is that he's a rude little asshole. He's quick to anger and he's rude as shit. He likely doesn't care about your feelings and is good if you want to get some combat out of him.

As for making enemies, that plays into the above paragraph as well. It's very easy to make enemies with Daxton.

As a Resistance Weapons Specialist who prides himself in knowing the ins and outs of every gun, knife and more you could hand him, he also deals in weapons trades out of Verona. He'll travel to Verona from Lesca city at random pattern intervals, so it's possible he could be found much more frequently in those two places.

Enzo Teagan Savage 19 Male Plasma Musician Single A musical edge lord who's talents with music seem almost boundless. Particularly good with singing and piano, Enzo hangs there as he learns more instruments.

Enzo keeps up his tough exterior pretty good and keeps his edgy appearances rolling pretty well. He's not too tough of a nut to crack, as he's a low-key caring person, and it can be seen by those who are friends with him that he isn't all 100% edge lord. If you want to be friends with him, the best way is to just try.

Enzo's shellshock has been relatively worked over and he's doing much better. But he hopes you like Electivire cause it's rare you'll see him without Brio.

Friends: Fawna Hawke is something potential. This may move to enemy, the world may never know.

Lionel Raymond James Jr 18 NB (egg) Plasma Trainer Single Having conquered all of Orre's coliseums, Ray is a highly skilled and competitive battler. Their high energy makes them a difficult one to reign in.

Ray gets around the block, and with their talkative, independent and can-do attitude, Ray also tends to make odd acquaintances in odd places. They're full of energy and they talk, alot, and if you get them rambling, then you'll never get them to stop. It's kind of ridiculous...

But why? They're such an obnoxious little angel!

Being serious, Raymond is a vindictive, competitive spirit. If you win by cheating, they'll get you back. In fact, if you wrong them in any way, they'll find a way to get you back, even over the most petty of shit. Ray doesn't take shit from anybody. Ray also isn't an angel in the sense that they're very intolerant of stupidity. It takes quite a bit for them to actually stop themselves from reeling back and decking "some stupid fuck" in the jaw if they push them too much.

If you're interested in going down this path, I can put up a wanted ad or if you got a character that'd like to try, then hey. Malachi is protective, hostile and really good at pretending to like people. His false smile is just that, a false smile. You're likely not going to make friends with Malachi but if you can get him to not pretend to like you and start tolerating you, then maybe you have a chance with making nice.

Friends: Doesn't play well with others.

Yes, all of these and more. He's a prickly little bastard can, has and will kill hostile pokemon attacking him directly, with his teeth. He's outwardly rude, a very boorish personality that has had a hold on him for a while, and especially since he became half Sharpedo.

Not to mention, he keeps his self closed off and indifferent to others, and his cynical nature makes his 'don't trust' barrier near impenetrable. So it's very easy to get into shit with Malachi and make an enemy. But please remember...

Antantaru Akiyama "Ryujin" 44 Male Res Marksman Single In a world that's otherwise dreary to this man when there's no bow in his hand, Ryujin struggles to find true purpose, and dedicates his life to work.

FRIENDS

The combination of both Clinical Depression and Dysarthria due to underuse and weakening of speech related muscles has made it naturally difficult for Ryujin to communicate in the slightest with his voice. A mix of a bad childhood, never having friends and constantly being isolated has also caused him to become emotionally distant. Shoving everything down and keeping himself away from most other people so they can't hurt him like his parents hurt him long ago. His independence and loner tendencies have lead him to believe he can be perfectly ok on his own, although at the same time he knows that that is far from true.

But you can't shake old habits. It takes patience, to get close to Ryujin, very few having ever accomplished it. Though when you get to know him, he does have a personality outside of silent and 'stop looking at me'. He loves teas and is obviously more of a listener, than a talker. He's a marksman, a painter and more, it just takes a while to see.

Note: His name, Antantaru Akiyama is known only by himself, his legal guardian (Osiris) as well as Zeus and Daisuke due to circumstance. Any traces possible of it have been erased to protect it. He is known only by Ryujin or Lazarus, and his real name is only revealed to someone he'd chose to marry or someone he chooses safe to divulge it to.

Friends: Zeus - Cousin number 2 but also cousin number 1. Zeus is an insufferable presence that, despite how rarely they talked, Ryujin would be unsure of what to do without. His younger cousin (if even only by a year...) treats Ryujin like a brother and they share a surprisingly close bond despite the distance they've had for most of their lives. Zeus can tell you what Ryujin is thinking with just a glance.

Daisuke - Zeus's older brother and a terrifying man to be around, Ryujin does not fear Daisuke for he knows Daisuke is more than meets the eye. The only other person that would send him messages was Daisuke, and as sloppy as his handwriting was, he could always read them. Daisuke made sure that "cousin Lazarus" knew that he was loved, even if it was in his usual, aggressive manner.

ENEMIES

The myth himself, known by many names but known by very, very few, has taken many lives. Whether it be under one of the many names granted to him by those who spread rumors, or the accusations that the deaths caused by his hands were that of a dangerous Decidueye, he has a photographic memory, and meditating on events allows him to remember many things. If you want your character to be somehow related to one of his victims and wish to discuss that potential, DM me. This could make for some interesting drama.

Ryujin is far from an outward asshole. While he may be emotionally distant, that doesn't mean he's an asshole. But he is very blunt, and his near inability to form words makes it even worse. He just has a total tendency to tell you how it is right to your face before thinking about how it'll affect you, which may cause some tension.

Oh but if only the man who holds everyone at arm's length knew what love was, right? Ryujin has never "allowed" himself to fall in love with anyone. And while he is in touch with his sexuality, fully comfortable with the fact that he knows he's attracted to men, that doesn't mean he acts on the impulses. And just as he pined for someone to be a friend as a child, he will allow himself to pine but only for a moment, that horrible clenching feeling in his chest not his favorite but something that has to happen before he can do what he thinks is getting over it.

Ryujin would much rather subject himself to more loneliness and dreams full of the raging symbolism of his loneliness (fungi) than he would subject himself to the feeling of letting himself grow close to someone that would only aim to harm him in the long run. He'll shut himself down emotionally and bottle it away before he lets that happen.

AKA it'll be slowburn.

He's just a sweetheart, a big, frightened sweet heart. He doesn't discriminate, and if you're patient and willing to explain things to him, he'd make a great friend. It takes special kinds of people for Thomas not to like them, but other than that, he's typically outgoing.

Fun fact, despite being an actually relatively friendly person, Zametrius has a very difficult time forming friendships. His energy and determination does not apply when it comes to forming relationships that he feels, will only inevitably hurt him. He does his best to control that self destructive tendency but he can only do so much a lot of times, and usually ends up failing.

That doesn't mean you can't try.

Friends: Fawna Hawke Meeting long ago as children, Zametrius and Fawna actually wound up becoming friends. This is probably the only truly meaningful relationship he's formed outside of a professional sitting.

ENEMIES

He may be a nice guy, but he'll whip out a knife on shitty people. So if you got a shitty person and want to make enemies, this is likely a good place to look. Welcome to a majority of situations though I guess.

He has zero tolerance for bigots and the like. That baseball bat ain't decorative, honey.

This is very difficult. He has a preference for men, but with how he looks and his problems forming relationships, this would likely be toxic for a while if it would even work out. You'd have to manage to befriend him first.

Zethar Igneo Sideris 20 Male Res Trainer Single The inner fire of Entei burns fiercely in Zethar's heart. Hailing from a cult that worships Entei, he's a vicious fighter, a vicious protector and a cocky little shit.

FRIENDS

If you can get past his cocky nature and willingness to wreck someone in a fight if they cross him AND get past his headstrong and resolute energy, then you can be friends with Zethar. He's playful and surprisingly friendly. People who know him closely even get to know how much of a soft boi he can be under his rough Leo exterior.

He makes plenty with his attitude, but none of them have been hostile, actually come at him enemies. He does have a higher tendency to despise plasma though, especially the "fucker" that killed his pokemon when he was younger.

If you give Zethar a reason to fight, he will come at you and you will likely not be friends.

Pan and ready to start a fight, Zethar is a spicy little brat who will make the moves if he has to and not care one bit, possibly even love it if it results in him getting scolded. If he sees something he thinks he can go after, he'll likely go after it. Getting into a relationship has proven to be another story for this spicy little fireball though, and there is some baggage to be had.

OOCly, it should be known Zethar has a history and while he'll do his thing, commitment is difficult.

Political Affiliation: Resistance / Sub-Neutral for neutral bodied members

Theistic Following: Entei; the believed personification of volcanos, an embodiment of strength and speed. They embrace their strength, speed and the prospect of rising from the theoretical ashes. (Check Entei lore for references to this)

General beliefs: That the bond of family is a fiery bond much more powerful than any force out there, regardless of blood connection. To break it is reason well enough to mourn and to forge new blood is to be celebrated.

There is no shame leaving those that hurt you behind. Those that hurt you and are left behind should be all the more reason to celebrate over new family that rises from the ashes as well as the family that remained through the ashes.

Be strong and run forward in life with those that would run with you.

Embrace your strengths and passions.

Let none hold you down, the eruptions of a volcano can not be tamed and neither can you.

But Daaax, don't cults do extreme shit?: Not all the time, no. If you count dying one of your sclera black as a mark that you're on your rite of passage which ties in to their beliefs with running forward into life as extreme then sure.

More on The Leader, Titus: Often called "Brick" by most people among Sun's Gate, especially a select few among the religious group, he's a very large (6'9), white haired, brown eyed (red prescription contacts), dark skinned man marked by visible vitiligo on his face, and should he be shirtless, it can be seen speckled across his chest and shoulders. He's a man with several secrets, well kept for numerous reasons, but he is well known for his strength and kindness, having grown well into the role of a leader, he's able to lead people and pokemon as if he was born to do as such.

Brick wasn't born in Anrui, but instead, is Galarian born, from the Crown Tundra to sailor parents. Though it wouldn't be long before they'd eventually tire of a steady life on land trying to raise Brick, and on a trip to Anrui, would drop young toddler Brick off with his grandparents under the very truthful claim from them that he was a 'burden'. He's 40 years old, having been living in Anrui for nearly 38 years now.

When he was 18, he became the leader, and from there, went on to create a rather complex life. Brick used to be a more blunt and serious person, but as he was exposed to his (secret) children as well as going on to adopt a son who had some... dire circumstances, named atlas nomikos , he began to mellow out. Sometime around when he was 24 he really mellowed out, quitting his job as a bouncer at a local club and moving on to fire fighting, where he eventually went to become a fire chief at the local fire department.

Brick is a well known Resistance Loyalist and a royal thorn in the side of any Plasma loyalists that he encounters. His Pokemon are strong, he stays on the move and he himself is strong despite his failing knee. While he doesn't actively serve the Resistance anymore due to 2 gunshot wounds (one laceration across the top of his shoulder and a pucker scar on his lower left back + abdomen) and his said failing knee, he's slowed down, but is still loyal to freeing Anrui from Plasma.

His many musical hobbies including bass guitar and singing with his heavy bass voice makes him a much softer person in the presence of family. Where he's already a gentle giant, he provides himself in private time with his family as a giant fuzzy minotaur that'll crush anyone that hurts you and let you nap on him. He plays games, enjoys his time with his children and will gladly put 'old Brick' mode back on for anyone that threatens them.

It's said that Brick is beginning to seek someone to help take over leading the cult, especially as it grows more difficult for him to so much as rise from sitting on the ground with his knee...

Titus's Pokemon: Rip the Talonflame: A large Talonflame, not one to stand for the youngin's shenanigans. Watches, very guardian-like.

Tear the Charizard: A war painted Charizard that absolutely screams "Fuck Around and Find Out" for an attitude. Growls at everything.

Claw the Typhlosion: A scarred Typhlosion who's seen just as many battles as the others. He's wild and difficult to control, but seems almost meditative when curled up and children are around.

Fang the Gyarados: A Gyarados often accused of having been fed human flesh has a knack for near insatiable violence. Brick lets him thrash around if the thrashing is harmless, just to get it out of his system.

Fell the Corviknight: A looming, unreadable Corviknight that stands guard on the different side of whatever area Brick and the other members of Sun's Gate is at. Almost nothing makes it past his eyes.

Bubbles the Sylveon: A graceful, proud Sylveon. She does not like being touched and is the most feared Pokemon out of the team. When Bubbles comes into a room, the other Pokemon better cease their fighting or she'll cease their conscious state. Almost anyone who tries to pet her will be bitten, even Brick can't pet her when she's in a bad mood despite being his very first pokemon back from when he was a kid. Brick's adopted son though. He can pet her anytime.

(Retired) War the Primeape: An old, tired, battle worn Primeape that lost one of his eyes in battle with Plasma. Due to his heavy scarring and injuries, the Primeape has uncharacteristically taken on a more fatigued, almost lethargic state, especially over the past couple of years. They fear that War may not live much longer.

Zethar and Jane's mother: Mirage Markopulous not too much is known about her other than her job as a pediatric physician and that she doesn't take slack from anybody. Rumor has it she's been known to verbally clap Brick from time to time.

Jane Markopulous: (FC: Haizaki Ryouhei / Inazuma Eleven) An absolute beast of an older sister, it's right to fear Jane's wrath for when it's invoked, she makes even her cocky brother step out of the way. And while Jane and Zethar may seem hateful and aggressive towards each other, it's well known to close family and friends of family that the two of them share an unbreakable bond. No matter their anger with each other, if one needs to curl up in the other's lap and cry, they'll welcome the other with open arms.

Known Pokemon: Marlene the Hattrem: Vibe check here, vibe check there. Jane is sure to make sure Marlene is only allowed out of her ball when the vibes in the house aren't high strung and stressful. About the only stressful thing they train through is battling, and that's only cause the braids get swung at the other side, not her.

Jericho the Morpeko: One of Jane's oddest Pokemon. A snacker and an absolute beast in battle. He's well known to sleep in her hood and awaken in a rampage if hungry.

Josajah the Flareon: Jane's oldest Pokemon, having been an Eevee given to her by Brick when she was young as a "Comfort Pokemon", Josajah is the only offspring of Bubbles, and fears Bubbles deeply. She's actually the one who chose this evolution though, and takes on her blazing form with pride.

Bahfen the Nuzleaf: Don't ask about him. Jane doesn't even know. He fights and he's loyal and he's not even afraid of Josajah wrath, nor Marlene's fury. He's like a Primeape trapped in a Nuzleaf's body. Bahfen has been one of Jane's biggest training challenges, despite how challenging Marlene and Jericho can tend to be.

Janga the Poliwag: An absolute BABY. Janga doesn't really battle yet, and prefers to just gel out on his own terms as he grows older.

Jo, The Ex: Manipulative, conniving and quite possibly deranged for reasons unknown, he stalks Zethar and has wounded him in unspeakable ways. He bears a scar on his thigh from where Jane stabbed him the time he dared show his face at the house after Zethar came literally running home.
