Literally, I can not find a good guide anywhere (and this tablet doesn't play videos), and so you guys don't have to risk going to a virus filled site just to find some tips. I'll do this.
Cause my iPad will send me to the App Store if a virus tries down loading.... and a lot of the sites are generally slow.
Ok.
You will need ALOT of hyper potions.
And leppa berries/ethers/elixirs
And get some adrenaline orbs. One per encounter, even if you knock out the one you used it on, one per encounter
Leppa berries are a free source of pp restoring resources. On the poke pelago, you can use all three areas of the berry growing Island (can't remember the name of if) to grow numerous leppa berries.
I prefer to have an alolan marowak on my team because of cursed body. It also knows false swipe
I also have a magnezone for thunder wave (paralyzed Pokémon won't call for help)
False swipe and or hold back. (The event munchlax you can still get right now will know hold back)
Pokémon with less health (in the red) seem to call for help more often.. I .. haven't seen any math on that. But it certainly seems that way, and makes sense.
Pokémon with a lower level also seem to have a higher success rate.
I have read somewhere that 40 successful calls for help is when the shiny chance and high IV chance goes up some. But even if it doesn't, this is the new way of chaining.
I'll wait twenty or so turns, because of my marowaks cursed body, to knock out the low health Pokémon and false swipe the called in Pokémons health down to red to get back to where I was in chaining, just so the wild Pokémon doesn't somehow struggle and knock itself out.
Chaining may result in other Pokémon being called in. For example, I've had pichu call in pikachu and happinys. And I've had sandshrew call in vanillish.
I am unsure whether or not this breaks or effects the chain, but this happens later in the chain for sure. Chances for this seem to improve further into the chain.
(Chaining a high IV dropping Pokémon is also a great way to ev train certain Pokémon)
This is literally everything I have, if I missed anything, feel free to scream at me.
