I. THE RULES

[Anrui Staff]

GENERAL

— Be nice to everyone. We're all in this for the roleplaying, right?

— Respect the staff members. I don't mean kiss our asses, we don't like that. You can call us out if we make a mistake, but don't treat us like crap if you're handed a warning or suspension for breaking the rules. Giving us lip will only worsen your punishment.

— Don't advertise your stuff. Site advertisements only go into the Advertising sub boards in the Guest Areas. Adoptables may be placed in your signatures and other related threads within reason.

— Spam will not be tolerated. Don't drag threads constantly with ridiculous things just for the sake of being cool. Double posting is only allowed in your own art threads, nowhere else.

— Please include a link to your application and personal computer in your mini-profile. The other fields are optional. To do this, go to Profile > Edit > personal.

— Though not required, we prefer you use avatars of your character. It just makes things look prettier ya'know?

ROLEPLAY

— Anrui is a TV-14 site, please keep it tasteful. If heavier topics, excessive violence or slurs are used please tag the thread or post as such and spoiler the section in question.

— This is a character-per-account site. Please use a display name format along the lines of FIRSTNAME LASTNAME. There is no limit on the number of characters, but you're reminded to keep them active.

— if you are in a mod/member rp, please notify the mod you have replied using the notification thread. Failure to do this means, more likely than not, the mod will not notice your thread.

— Anrui has pseudo liquid time in effect, meaning that although you can have as many threads as you like, wherever you like, they still have to make sense chronologically. If you start two threads and catch a Pokemon in the second thread you can’t put that Pokemon in your first thread. To make things easier for both you and the mods, please list the Pokemon party and their levels in your first thread.

— Pokemon level up chronologically in each thread no matter what level they are in another thread. For example: You have a rattata who’s level 7 in thread a, level 9 in thread b and level 12 in the pc and you level it up in thread a. In thread a it would be level 8, in thread b it would be level 9 and in the pc it would be level 13. If you wish to update your pokemon to their current levels in a thread, you must update them via pc or state significant time has passed in the thread.

— Unless you clearly state otherwise in the title, your thread is open for anyone to roleplay in. Pokevice IMs can be sent regardless of thread tag but keep in mind, in no way is the recipient required to reply.

— Do not godmod or take control of a character that is not your own. A good way to write in-depth battle posts without godmodding is to use the conditional tense! For example “rattata ran up to the bidoof for a tackle, if the tackle missed, the rattata would quickly turn around, shocked before growling her displeasure.”

— Though this is not a death-enabled site, your Pokemon may be stolen from you and you may steal Pokemon yourself! We ask you be mature and realistic about this, discuss it with your RP partner and if you are at a disagreement ask a mod. Neutral characters may keep their stolen Pokemon, plasma and resistance members are asked to bring them to their respective consignment dispersal. After this, most stolen Pokemon will be returned to their captor or put in the zoo.

— Like all countries rife with rebellion, Anrui is a dangerous place. Pokemon get taken, people get shot, arrests are common, fights run rampant. Because these situations are not always desired for roleplays, Anrui uses a simple risk system for its mod threads.

— Above all, be sensible. Your character probably isn't going to be able to take on a Machamp with their bare hands, nor will they dodge ever single attack launched at them.

CBOX

— Strictly no spam on the cbox. We have auto spam block on, so unless you were banned accidentally because of a computer lag or something, don't whine. Just tell an admin and we'll fix the problem.

— Do not advertise on the cbox. You'll be banned, similarly.

— If people say that they don't want to hear it, believe us, they don't want to hear it. Some people don't want to deal with your drama, and if you must, complain or rant to someone that cares. Tough love, bro.

— Do not ask for mod posts on the cbox. We're serious about this and it's totally not cool. There's a please mod board for a reason, so utilise that.

— Telling someone to kill themselves is NEVER okay. Even as a joke.

— Do not pretend to be someone who you are not, even as a joke. If there is a reason you feel obligated to do so, please contact a staff member and we will help you sort it out.
