MIRISSA SUVANNA BLARE.
THE PREFORMING POKEMON
AGE | GENDER | ALLEGIANCE | OCCUPATION |
Twenty-One | FEMALE | NEUTRAL | Secret performer |
APPEARANCE
Long straight black hair, Mirissa usually keeps her hair down. She has long straight bangs as well that stops at the edge of her eye. She also wears a black eye patch over her right eye; the reason for that is that her entire right side is covered in burn scars. Occasionally her face will be covered by bandages that have ointment on it to help soothe the pain that she occasionally gets. Both of her eyes are a bright blood red, the right one being slightly dull and now a blind spot.
Mirissa doesn't wear long sleeved shirts, unless they were hoodies, as it feels like she is restricted in her movements. To hide the burns on her right arm, she usually wears a long fingerless gloves with buckles. She usually wears a black tank top with black, ripped jean shorts, knee high black socks, and knee high boots with buckles. What scars are seen, she tends to ignore them, embracing that they are now a part of her. Occasionally she will wear bagging, ripped, black jeans. She is naturally pale, however she does gain tans and sunburns; she doesn't notice the sunburns much. Mirissa is flat chested and is a skinny/fit person.
To feel more comfortable, Mirissa carries the two outfits she used to perform in: an outfit that can pass off as her day-to-day outfit, however the tank top is black with red flames and she wears baggy pants with rips and chains on it as well as buckle up boots. She has different set of eye patch and glove that are red now for this outfit. The other is a traditional male suit. She doesn't wear dresses. She hates them. However a few times her best friend got her to wear one for the final performance called The Dance Within Fire. Mirissa also wears dress shoes with this suit as well as her hair pulled back into a bun (as well when she was wearing the dress)
Alright, technically Mirissa carries three outfits. She still keeps the dress with her. The dress is a black with a fire pattern; it is a flowing crepe overdress with a handkerchief hem and shoulder scarves. She goes bare foot with the dress.
She usually doesn't wear makeup, but she does occasionally wear lip gloss that matches her natural tone and color of her lips. She has no jewelry or tattoos. The scars on her right side are "tattooish" enough for her.

PERSONALITY
POSITIVE - Artistic - Protective - Friendly (with those she is comfortable around) - Respectful (of people and certain thigns) - Adventurous NEGATIVE - Rebellious - Temperamental - Can a be a bit too serious - Self-conscious - Cares not for her own needs in situations when she should | Mirissa loves dancing and playing the flute; it’s what she grew up with. She also loves to travel and move about. She can't stay in one place for too long or she starts getting agitated, which can easily be done. She keeps quiet to herself, and she feels more comfortable traveling in a group despite the fact she might not talk to them much. She does tend to talk more around people she feels comfortable with (friends, family, and pokemon). Most people often called her the creepy one when they visited the performances her family and friends puts on when they visit towns and cities. Being more of a tomboy, Mirissa hates make up and wearing dresses; the only time you see her wear the two is if the makeup is hardly noticeable (like the lip gloss that matches the tone and color of her lips) or if the two were forced upon her. She loves watching battles. She often loses her temper quickly, but has breathing exercises she uses to calm herself. Mirissa might appear more serious than most people, but she can also have fun depending on the environment and the people around her. However, Mirissa is still very much a girl; she loves dark chocolate and NOTHING will get in the way of her obtaining it. She will do almost anything for it. Mirissa follows her own simple rules. Do not kill people or pokemon. Treat youself, your friends, and you pokemon companions with respect and kindness. Be the best that you can be so that your companions can be the best they can be. One rule, however, she broken several times, but ignores the broken parts. She doesn't fully treat her self with respect, she has the tendency to put her down. She believes she will never be her best, and that she is limited because of her scars. Mirissa is afraid that people will treat her differently because of said scars. |
BACKGROUND
Mirissa was born in Lavaridge Town in the Hoenn region. She was born into a group of traveling performers, and thus she was raised this way. Her parents were one of the four founders of this group, and worked with the fire-types; their show was always done last and in the evenings. At the age of ten, Mirissa helped train the younger fire-types as well as the dog like pokemon. Over the years, she grown more attatched the the dog like pokemon and fire-type pokemon. When she turned thirteen she was deemed ready to perform and train more advance and older pokemon. She was happy to do this for the rest of her life, as the group's pokemon was her pokemon as well. Mirissa learned how to battle though the performances and watching her parents, and often battled visitors to the camp for fun (well she was forced to but she gained new friends who didn't mind her personality). It was though her experience that she began to understand the dog like pokemon and the fire-types as well; she has more of a difficulty with any of the other pokemon types.
When Mirissa turned sixteen, an accident happened. Mirissa was careless one day, and accidentally stepped on Samish, their top, female charizard performer, while she was sleeping. Samish woke up and attacked Mirissa with a flamethrower attack in rage. The attack hit her right side and burned most of her hair as well. This was how she obtained her burn scars. Her parents forbid her to work with the fire-types, or to even go near them anymore.
Mirissa tried to sneak out several times during the next few years, with no success. She was always caught. Shinji, her best friend that joined the group, tried to help her, to cheer her up, however Mirissa was jelous of Shinji as he had a pack of houndours and houndooms. When Mirissa was eighteen, she ran away. She knew of one place that her family and friend's wouldn't look for her (besides Shinji. That was the Anrui region. She knew what she was going to do. She was going to get a few dog pokemon and a few fire-type pokemon... Come up with a performance... perform on the streets, travel around...maybe tell a few stories here and there of the legends she heard of and of the adventures from her old life....She was going to enter competitions..
At the time Mirissa didn’t know what all was going on in Anrui, once the girl discovered she was tense uneasy. She survived, making a few friends and began to figure out what she can do. However she needed to disappear for a bit, hide. She hid, managing to avoid most detection, even leaving her friends wondering where she was. But now she is back and prepared to make a big difference.

Notes
I would like to make a note that Mirissa is willing to work for either side on only certain tasks; she will not speak of any plans to others unless they include her friends by putting them at risk. She does not like some (if not all) the things that Plasma does, however she does realize there are some people who aren’t truly cruel or evil as some of the members are; with that said, she can be swayed in either directions, just takes a bit more effort for Plasma. This is a returning character.
