[attr=class,apptxt]PANDORA HEARTS - gilbert nightray, [i]arcadia blackwood[/i]
Arc doesn't mind drawing attention to hirself. During hir childhood hir hair was dark brown and long, however since then it's been cut and dyed several times in several drastically different ways, the most drastic being about four years ago, when ze had a bright pink pixie cut. Unfortunately, ze's realized in the past year that following hir brother might involve adopting pokemon of hir own, and while ze's certainly not on the side of the Resistance, ze's not about to join Plasma. And training pokemon outside of Plasma means jail if you're noticed - and jail means death if you don't play your cards right.
Thus, ze's toned it down a little bit recently. Currently, hir hair is dyed such a dark blue that it seems to be black, except in the proper lighting, and it hangs down to hir chin in waves. Hir face is thin and angular, hir eyes slightly squinted naturally, golden in color and hidden by wisps of hir bangs when ze isn't pushing them out of hir face.
As for hir outfits, they're a little bit more drastic than hir hair as it's much easier and cheaper to change your hair than it is your entire wardrobe. Usually, hir outfits consist of some sort of dress shirt, usually either white, or dark in color, with matching dress pants and shoes that fit perfectly to emphasize hir height and weight. In the wintertime, you'll usually find hir with a layered white scar tied around hir neck for warmth, and a rather stylized jacket to match. The jacket itself is long, the bottom edge reaching knee length, and the collar reaching up to the bottom or hir ears when it is flipped up, which it usually is. It has buckles up and down it's inner edges, and a belt-like strap ties around hir waste when it is buckled on the coldest of days.
Standing tall at 5'9", ze weighs in at a healthy 145 pounds. Oddly similar to hir brother, ze has a birthmark on hir back shoulder, although hir's is much more splotchy. Unlike hir brother, ze has more than one scar due to hir being much more active and playing on hir school's girls soccer team. On hir right arm, a small, thin scar makes it way down hir bicep, while on hir left leg, a much longer, thinner scar runs from hir knee straight down to hir ankle, a blemish that ze was forced to work hard to cover up as a teenager in the Blackwood household.

[attr=class,apptitle]PERSONALITY
[attr=class,apptxt]
Intelligent - Unlike hir brother, who has an obsession with knowledge and proving himself to be smart, Arc could not have cared less about hir grades in high school. Also unlike Atticus, however, Arc is naturally incredibly smart in that ze absorbs things easily and does not have a difficult time learning new things. Despite her lackadaisical way of dealing with school - particularly studying - ze graduated at an above-average standing, simply by absorbing lessons, and seeing patterns in what is tested and what isn't tested. When ze does find something that ze has a particular interest in, however, ze obsesses and studies it just as hir brother does. Ones of these obsessions is people, and what makes them tick both physically and abstractly. Thus, like hir brother, ze has a fine sense of body and verbal language, however ze doesn't use it to manipulate people... usually.
Self-absorbed - Hir childhood made hir very independent, and part of being independent means doing what you need to do to make yourself happy. Although ze's not nearly as quick to manipulate people as hir brother is, if there is something that ze wants badly enough, ze will not hesitate to use someone else to get it. Likewise, if sacrifices need to be made, ze will not put hirself before others, and will do what it takes to survive.
Untrustworthy - Hir narcissist tendencies are what make her an untrustworthy person. While ze'll hesitate to manipulate you, ze will give up any secrets that you confide in hir in order to better hirself. Very open to conversing with anyone, ze's an easy person to talk to, but beware - ze absorbs nearly everything ze hears, and if you even so much as hint at something, chances are ze'll be able to put the pieces together. And if it comes to pass that your secrets are useful, ze will not hesitate to spill the beans.
Accepting - Just because ze is self-absorbed doesn't mean that ze feels ze is above the rest of Anrui. Growing up a Blackwood, ze's had money, clothing, and all kinds of other spoils all of hir life. However, unlike the rest of hir family, those spoils have never ruined hir. Ze's always been the underdog of the family, never good enough, and ze knows how it feels to be judged for everything that ze does. Thus, ze is very open to everyone, from the beggar on the street corner to the highest-ranking officers in either of the sides. Due to hir obsession with people, ze is more than willing to start a conversation with anyone.

[attr=class,apptitle]HISTORY
[attr=class,apptxt]
Place of Birth: Eve City, Anrui
Arcadia Kai Blackwood did not live a difficult life, necessarily. At home, she had a large house, plenty of food and clothing, hot water, and enough money to get whatever she wanted. She was born into the Blackwood family, after all, and what the Blackwood family wanted, the Blackwood family bought. She was born three years after her brother Atticus, and while they were young, the bond between them was strong. When Atticus began attending school, their bond slowly began dwindling, bit by bit, year by year.
Arcadia attended the same daycares, same preschools, and same schools as Atticus did, up until college, at which point, as an adult, she was able to have a say in her educational career. During her school years, she was emotionally abused by her parents. Each day she was criticized by them, ridiculing any opinions that she voiced. She was forced to wear outfits that were picked out by her parents and any refusal was met with insults to her physical appearance. If she wanted to take certain electives that her parents did not approve of, her intelligence was ridiculed. Friends? The ones that she chose were worthless. Her favorite book? A childish work, meant for four year olds with barely an ounce of intelligence. The stuffed cubchoo that her brother had given her for Christmas when she was seven? An immature toy that wasn't worth keeping.
Luckily, she found solace in school. Due to her openness (and possibly being related to the smartest, and for some people, most good-looking boy in the district), she was easily able to make friends, and had an array of them throughout her schooling. She also found a healthy way to express her emotions through music, specifically the French Horn (though she dare not bring it home to practice, fearing her parent's criticisms).
When graduation came, so did her eighteenth birthday, ushering in what she hoped would be the path to becoming happy in her home life. She decided not to attend a college right away, as she wasn't sure what career path she wanted to take and she didn't want to waste her family's money on indecisiveness. She began choosing what she wanted to wear, and what she wanted to look like, and, with a bit of shyness, she announced that she'd rather use the pronouns "ze" and "hir".
Unfortunately, ze was not the only one that was looking forward to hir adulthood. When ze turned eighteen, hir parents did not change their ways right away - they allowed hir to live in the house and they wasted no time harshly analyzing hir every move, hoping that perhaps if they pushed hir ze'd choose a career path and move on from their home in order to attend school. It was when graduation came, and when ze began to change, began to become hirself that they developed problems with hir that they could not handle.
One month after graduation, Arc was homeless. Unlike Atticus, ze was not given a monthly allowance, and any necessities ze had were no longer paid for. Determined to make a better life for hirself than ze had before, however, ze bounced back and forth from friend's house to friend's house while ze took up a job at a local bookstore. Soon ze was able to pay rent and buy groceries, and even pay for a haircut or two. Did ze have all of the luxuries that ze grew up with? No, but they didn't matter to hir. What mattered was the path to accepting hirself for who ze was, something that ze could never do with hir parents around.
Unfortunately, the bookstore that ze worked at is now closed due to recent book-banning, and ze is out of a job. Although ze and hir brother's relationship died out as they grew older, ze never stopped caring for hir older brother. As a child, he was a sort of rock for hir to hide behind, and even as teenagers he wasn't nearly as critical of hir as their parents were. Ze knows what he is up to nowadays, having gone off to work for Plasma, and ze feels for his safety, and that he cannot see how he has chosen a path of destruction. At his point, hir goal is to find him. Ze has paid hir last month of rent, sold what ze does not need to survive on the road, and is off to Pavaline to find protection in a pokemon.
Unfortunately, the high school that the two Blackwoods attended didn't have a pokemon program, even before Plasma came about. Hir only source of knowledge about pokemon at the moment is a ratty old dictionary-esque book that zee bought at the bookstore that ze had worked at.
