[attr=class,apptitle]APPEARANCE
[attr=class,apptxt]TSUKUMONO ~ YADORIGI ROMANSU - yui, [i]charlie esposito[/i]
Charlie is albino. She has no idea what her parents really looked like under the dirt and grime, and so has no idea what she should look like. Her foster mother constantly criticizes how she looks, making the girl very self-conscious. She has stopped trying to hide her pure white hair, pale skin, and red eyes, however, for she figured trying to hide it just drew more attention to it.
Her hair, like I said, is a pure white color, and cut in a bit of a shaggy bob. The tips reach down to her chin, while the bangs come down just to the top of her dark red eyes, covering her thin eyebrows. Her face is small and pixie-like, similar to the rest of her body.
Because of her mother’s badgering, she eats once a day, and not a very large meal, making the already skinny girl underweight. She is hour-glass shaped, and dresses to show off her body, wearing things that are snug in all areas. Typically her outfits consist of variations of her school uniform: a white shirt covered by a black jacket, with black pants and a red tie. In the summer she wears less, and in the winter she wears more, however each outfit has the same color coding.
She is 5'4 and 100lbs.

[attr=class,apptitle]PERSONALITY
[attr=class,apptxt]Quiet – Charlie was never really taught how to talk until she made it to Verona. There was never any “say mommy/daddy” or anything like that. Although she knew that words meant something, she was never able to link the word and the meaning. When she reached Verona, she was automatically put into special speech classes to catch her up. Even now she is rather shy about her voice, and typically only talks when spoken too.
Untrusting – Charlie was abandoned by her drug-addicted parents, shipped off to live with a verbally abusive foster-mom who was left by her husband, and hangs around with a bunch of backstabbers. I don’t think this needs any more of an explanation.
Whore – Charlie never knew her true father, and her foster-father left when she was four. There has never been a real fatherly figure in her household. This, combined with the lack of love she feels from her foster-mom, makes her crave affection elsewhere.
Unjudemental towards others – Having a dark past and looking the way she does, Charlie is understanding and knows that bad things happen, whether everybody knows about it or not. She understands that sometimes these things slip into people’s daily lives, sometimes having negative effects. She tries not to judge people before she gets to know them.
Slight Addict – If there is a way for her to get some sort of stimulation, she’ll stop at nothing for it. She likes to blame this on her social circle, but her mother believes it comes from her past.
Persistent – Charlie didn’t just automatically pop up to the top of her class. She works hard, studies, and knows her stuff. If there’s something that she wants or feels she needs to achieve, she will stop at nothing.
Patient – Living with her mother has taught her to be patient, and rather cunning. She knows as soon as she says something out of anger; it is just ammunition for her mother to strike back with. She must be patient with her mother, and strategic to get what she wants from her.

[attr=class,apptitle]HISTORY
[attr=class,apptxt]There are some things that you can tell about a person’s life when they are as little as four years old.
For example, a child born to drug-addicts that is rescued, and then sent to live with a verbally-abusive adoptive mother is going to have some issues in her adult life. But why don’t we back up a bit.
Charlie was born to a semi-loving mother and father. I say semi-loving because when they were all high and floaty, everything was fine. They absolutely adored their baby [whatever they had decided to call her at any given moment], and gave her everything she could possibly need: a set of pajamas to keep her warm during the winter; a mattress to sleep on; a few pieces of bread every now and again; hell she even had her own room, albeit dirty and full of broken shit. Best of all, when she was upset and crying, or when she couldn’t sleep, they could provide her with the best lullaby: various depressants. This was typically how it was, however there were occasions when her parents wouldn’t have enough money to get what they wanted, and her dirty room became a hell-hole, her mattress would become a pile of boxes, and her pajamas something to tie her up with. For the most part she was alone in their house, as her parents tended to roam the streets and only used the house as a place to crash.
When Charlie was three, there was a drug-bust in her neighborhood. Cops circulated through the streets, breaking windows and busting down doors. Her parents had enough time to vacate the premises before the cops showed, but they left their daughter sitting on the lawn. When she was found, her pure white hair and skin were covered in filth, giving her the impression of having Mexican-decent. Her clothing was ripped and filthy, and she was extremely malnourished. Her first memory was hearing the sirens, and watching the blinking lights of the cops as they pulled up to her house, and pulled her into one of the cars.
From then on, her memory is rather fuzzy until she reached Verona City. She was adopted by an Italian couple – Maria and Antonio Esposito, brother and sister-in-law of Caterina and Luciano Esposito. They christened her with the name Chiara, but called her Charlie. Everything in her life seemed to have improved until her new father left their family only a month after her fourth birthday. Maria refused to remarry, and took out the majority of her anger on Charlie via verbal abuse. The girl was naturally skinny, but because of this abuse, became anorexic.
Despite her dark childhood and upbringing, Charlie succeeded in school both socially and scholarly. She was a part of what one might call the “popular clique,” the one that was always talking behind each other’s backs, yet still managed to call each other best friends. Unfortunately, this was also the group that went to the most parties, which did not help her stay away from the thing that had almost killed her as a toddler. From birth she was a very quiet person, and would not start a conversation with someone she didn’t know, although she would not blatantly ignore people. If someone wanted to talk to her, she was able to come down off of her high-ponyta and converse no matter who it was that had started the conversation, making her one of the more liked members of her social circle. Education-wise, Charlie was typically in the top five of her class, especially in classes having to do with pokemon. Living in Verona City didn’t allow her to interact with wild pokemon on a regular basis, but the ones in the books looked so cute. She took many classes on the language of pokemon, hoping one day to get out of the canaled city and have an adventure with one.
The pokemon curriculum that they used in the Verona schools was entirely Plasma based. Charlie learned what Plasma wanted her to learn, ie about the wonders and beauty of Plasma, and not about the Resistance. Charlie, having no idea about the Resistance or about the corruption of Plasma, automatically decided it best to become a Plasma grunt in order to have her adventure.
