[attr=class,apptitle]APPEARANCE
[attr=class,apptxt]SHERLOCK - Sherlock Holmes, [i]atticus k. blackwood[/i]
Mr. Blackwood does not consider himself as much took look at. Standing at about six feet tall, he has an average build, weighing in around 160 pounds. He doesn’t have much fat – years of good metabolism have truly blessed him, and a colorful vegetarian diet makes up for what his metabolism lacks. Most of what he has is lean muscle that he feels isn’t very satisfying. However, he is not much of an athlete, so the lack of strength suits him just fine, and he isn’t out to find another lover, so why bother trying to impress people? His skin is light from not being out in the sun much, and a rather inactive childhood has left him with but one scar on his left knee from when he had tripped walking down the stairs. He does have a birthmark, though, a rather splotchy blob on his back left shoulder.
He has a long face, with rather strong features. A strong jaw line comes down to a slightly square chin, and cheek bones sit high up underneath slightly squinted eyes. These eyes are always analyzing and calculating, and they are an icy, almost steely blue in color. Above them sit rather long eyebrows, typically furrowed and lighter in color than the curly mop of hair on top of his head. His dark hair tends to get messy easily, so he keeps it parted on his left side, allowing slight bangs to fall over his forehead. Similar to his eyebrows, his mouth is rather long. A sincere smile is usually one with his lips shut, however more often the smiles are not sincere, and include pearly whites that had taken several years of dentistry work to straighten. His nose – possibly the feature that he likes the least – is long, and ever so slightly crooked from a fight that he had gotten into in college.
As far as outfits go, Mr. Blackwood tends to dress in a casual-formal manner. Rarely will you see him in jeans and a t-shirt, even on the warmest of summer days. Typically his outfit consists of dark dress pants, and some sort of buttoned dress shirt. The colder it gets, the more layers he adds – a vest here, a jacket there, and then finally his dark trench coat, complete with one of his favorite scarves. Matching dress shoes are on his feet at almost all times.

[attr=class,apptitle]PERSONALITY
[attr=class,apptxt]Power-obsessed: Since he was a child, Mr. Blackwood has been used to getting whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. As a youngster, his parents babied him and gave him everything his heart desired. After a few years in grade school, he had learned what it had taken to be a little ham and find his way with the teachers to get out of punishments, homework, bad grades, etc. This quality is still one of his main traits, however it has evolved exponentially to become a sort of obsession. What he wants is power, and he is going to stop at nothing to get it.
Manipulative/People smart: As stated earlier, Mr. Blackwood learned at a young age how to manipulate his actions so as to change how people feel about him. While his natural way of being is quiet, analyzing, and self-absorbed, he knows that’s not what the general public likes. The public likes a leader that smiles, kisses babies, and cares about the overall being of the general public, all classes included and that’s what the public will get until he’s got a firm grip of power. When it comes to specific people, it only takes a short conversation for Mr. Blackwood to pick up on the body language of the other person, and learn what makes them smile and what makes them tick.
Impatient: Mr. Blackwood is rather impatient. If the waiter is taking too long to get him his meal, or if his laundry is taking too long to dry, he gets antsy and rather grumpy. He never quite learned how to wait for what’s to come, and talking about future events with people (i.e. his lover back in Eve City) bothers him because he simply can’t stand waiting to see what the future holds.
Cunning/Quick Learner: Mr. Blackwood always did well in school. His worst subject was science, specifically chemistry, however he managed to even scrape by with an A- in that too. Unfortunately, his grade school was not pokemon oriented, even before Plasma came about, so he didn’t get a true pokemon experience until he got to college. It was there that he realized the potential of the creatures, and how easily he could use them to his advantage. While he’s not a pokemon genius, he does find that pokemon battling makes sense, especially when strategy is used. He has a lot to learn, however he has a guide book (basically a watered down bulbapedia) that he received in college that he still studies occasionally.

[attr=class,apptitle]HISTORY
[attr=class,apptxt]Place of birth: Eve City, Anrui
Mr. Atticus King Blackwood was born to a semi-wealthy couple living in Eve City. From the day he was born he was treated like a spoiled rotten brat by both his parents and the house keepers. His parents, however, had big ideas for their baby boy, and as soon as he was at the minimum age they put him into daycare, and then kindergarten, and finally the most private schooling they could find in Eve City. The boy easily had what it took to make friends in school, but he only put the effort in when he needed friends in order to accomplish something for his own benefit. He worked hard throughout school, understanding that knowledge was power and that the more knowledge he had, the more powerful he would become.
College came, and of course his parents were willing to pay for their son to go to the best university that Eve City could grant them. It was at this college that Mr. Blackwood had his first real experience with pokemon battling – it was sort of like a sport that they just hadn’t had at his old school. He was shocked to see how incredibly powerful the creatures were, and yet how submissive they could be towards their trainers – they were practically perfect for what he wanted to achieve. He decided not to partake in the sport, however, mostly because it would get in the way of his school work. He did get a small guidebook at one of the major competitions – just something that had some stats, typing, height and weight, move sets, and a picture of each pokemon in it.
It was at this college that Mr. Blackwood met his lover, a certain [name disclosed]. The man seemed to be almost the opposite of what Atticus was, and for some reason he found himself attracted to him, almost like a sort of yin and yang relationship. Despite dating throughout college, it had taken several years until Blackwood revealed his life plan to the other man.
Majoring in political science, Mr. Blackwood’s goal was to receive a degree or two and then work his way through the city ranks to become mayor of Eve City, and then continue working until he could rule all of Anrui. This plan came to a gut wrenching halt when Anrui was overtaken by Plasma. With [name disclosed] by his side, he watched as their utopia-like city was torn to pieces in war, and any sort of governmental control was automatically handed over to Plasma.
Most people with Mr. Blackwood’s goals would have been disappointed and discouraged by the state that Eve City was in, but it did nothing but fuel his want. He became obsessed with the thought of holding power over Plasma and over Anrui; he lost sleep, he rarely ate, and he lashed out in anger at [name disclosed] on a regular basis. He knew he couldn’t sit and wait for the opportunity to arise. He needed to go out and find it, and no one – not his parents, not his lover, and certainly not the government, was going to stop him. And he knew how he was going to do it – raise an army of fire types, as they had often stood out to him during school to be the most powerful of the types if trained correctly – raise them through Plasma, and destroy the operation from the inside out until everybody, Plasma included, was bowing down to him.

[attr=class,apptxt]Still looking for someone to play his lover.
