[attr=class,apptxt]FRUITS BASKET - Hatori Sohma, [i]giuseppe esposito[/i]
5'8"; 135 POUNDS
Giuseppe is Italian. If you were unable to recognize this simply from the sound of his name, you'd at least be able to assume so from his appearance. Although he is rather pale for an Italian, he does have the typical dark shaggy hair, and dark eyes shadowed by thick eyebrows. Not to mention he has an accent. If you didn't catch his background from that, then you're a dolt.
His face has no remarkable features at first glance other than his hair falls over one of his eyes. However, on closer examination, you can see the faint scar left over from his past, and the cloudiness in his eye. He doesn't usually allow people to get that close, though.
The rest of his body is similar to his face in that there is nothing extraordinary in it. Yes, he is a bit lanky, but nothing out of the norm. He doesn't dress to catch the eye - an assortment of business clothes that he washes in the streams every now and then for the warmer months, with some casual pants and shoes. His warm blood keeps him from getting too chilly most cool days. In the brutal winter, however, he has been known to wear the fur of dead pokemon as a jacket and to create moccasins out of the leftovers. Macabre, yes, but necessary to survive. At least he doesn't kill them himself.
Usually.
Giuseppe rather prides himself in his ordinary, almost dull appearance. When you do what he does, you don't want to be noticed, and you don't want to be remembered.

[attr=class,apptitle]PERSONALITY
[attr=class,apptxt]When you hear the name Giuseppe Esposito, the first thing you need to think of is a mobster with the added stealth of a well-trained ninja master. Or so he thinks.
Giuseppe is actually unnaturally stealthy. His childhood spent with a variety of different pokemon taught him various tricks, like stepping on dry leaves with out crunching them, or balancing perfectly on a branch that’s barely thick enough to hold his weight. Most of his jobs involve stealing heavily guarded things, and he often considers simply being silent to be more of an advantage than being able to do flips in the air, and etc. Although he’ll deny it, he’s not perfect, and does have the occasional slip up.
Obviously, he is a very proud individual. His pride, however, tends to be his downfall. Most often if he gets caught, it is because he was too cocky and thus allowed himself to get messy. However, this pride does allow him to be commanding. He is a natural leader, and if ever forced to do teamwork (which he loathes), he automatically assumes the position of head of the team.
He is a very solitary person, preferring to work alone or at least without any other humans. He never had any siblings to share things with, so why should he start now? Besides, he lives alone on the streets. What girl would want to be with that?
When he does, by chance, meet a girl, he has the capability of being quite suave. His father was always the perfect gentleman towards his mother, and Giuseppe takes after him. His accent and his appearance most likely help in the matter.
However he may appear on the outside is usually just a façade though. He often thinks about the situation that he walked in on after returning from his uncle’s and what it had done to him. Looking back on it so often has made him bitter and immune to the guilt of killing in order to survive. Thus, the ability to make fluffy pokemon jackets.
A few other quirks to him: He loves dragon-types. He spits and smokes a lot. He’s shot his gun numerous times, but has only had to use his knife once. He loves eating, and considers food to be the easiest thing to steal. His favorite color is dark green.

[attr=class,apptitle]HISTORY
[attr=class,apptxt]Giuseppe wasn’t always homeless, nor was he always without a family and pokemon. It was only around six or seven years ago that he had been left to his own doings. We should probably rewind a little farther, though.
He was born and raised in Kain City. His parents once owned and ran a sort of pokemon shelter for abandoned or lost pokemon. They called it the PokePound. It was here that Giuseppe spent most of his time outside of class. He would help his parents feed or play with or clean the gentler pokemon, and watch in awe as his father and some of the staff wrangled with the more aggressive ones. In fact, his first pokemon was a druddigon that had been sent to the Pound because of its destructive ways, and had been tamed by his father.
However, his parents soon fell ill with tuberculosis, and owning a Pound did not generate loads of income that they could not only use to pay the staff that would have to cover their shifts while they recovered, but also pay for their medication while keeping Giuseppe in good shape. So they decided to send him on a mission to his uncle’s in Kairo Town to ask for his assistance.
He would have been better not to go, however. Arriving in Kairo, he heard news that his uncle had heard rumors of a certain Team Plasma rising in Anrui, and had fled to the Johto region. Upon his return home, he found the Pound in ruins; Team Plasma had struck while he was away. Dead pokemon corpses littered the ground. Venturing inside of his house to look for his parents, he met a Plasma member with an absurdly strong dragonite kneeling over them. He then turned the pokemon on Giuseppe and his druddigon.
Giuseppe doesn’t let on that he remembers much from the attack. He claims to only recall the pain from the dragonite’s claws on his face, and telling his druddigon to run. In reality, the dragonite had destroyed the smaller dragon, just as it had the other pokemon on the grounds, before Giuseppe even had a chance to tell it the command. His parents already being dead, and now his pokemon also, he had no one to help him, and so ran as far and as fast as he could.
He now lives on his own in the streets. He often wonders from town to town, doing missions for both the Resistance and Plasma – whichever will pay more at a given time. His parents didn’t have much to pass on to him, and whatever they did have had been taken by Plasma in an effort to create the zoo that stands there today. Although he always carries on him a gun and a knife, he’s decided it’s high time that he gets himself another pokemon.
