[attr=class,apptitle]APPEARANCE
[attr=class,apptxt]POKEMON - barry/jun, [i]jackson jensen[/i]
Jack is a typical twelve year-old, just on the brink of puberty. Although he has begun suffering from the characteristic voice cracks of those his age, he has yet to be overcome by the threat of acne or sudden growth spurts, leaving him clear and pale skinned, and at a whopping weight of 110 pounds and height of 5’1”.
He has blonde hair, which falls in medium length locks apart from the uncontrollable cowlicks that spurt up all over his head. His face is soft and expressive – round with some baby fat, with small eyebrows and a small nose. Officially, his eyes are considered brown colored, however they are an extremely light brown that is often mistaken for orange. They also tend to seem watery or glistening, something that Jack cannot control, but uses to his advantage when in a rough situation.
As for his body, Jack is slightly lanky – he has yet to grow into any muscle, and the fat that is on his body is simply baby fat. He wears brown shoes, black jeans that would probably stay up a lot easier with a belt, and a white t-shirt that is usually covered by an orange and white striped short sleeved jacket and a green scarf (after all, boys can’t match). A brown bag typically hangs off of his shoulder, carrying all of his essentials.
Despite successfully living through the age of playing with/on dangerous things because you don’t know any better, Jack is surprisingly lacking in scars. He does, however, posses a burn mark that covers the majority of his right palm, received from the static of a pikachu.

[attr=class,apptitle]PERSONALITY
[attr=class,apptxt]
Timid – Jack is known to be a very timid person, especially when it comes to pokemon. He will do whatever he can to avoid them, and will scream bloody murder if one is released in front of him. This fear stems from the pikachu that he encountered as a child. As far as people go, he’s not so much timid as he is panicky – he knows his place (after all, his family doesn’t have very good economic standing), and dreads the scorn of upset adults.
Respectful – His timidity leads to his next trait – respectful. Because of his fear of upsetting adults, Jack is very quick to bow down, address someone as “sir” or “ma’am,” or just simply move out of the way before he is told to do so. If you are older than sixteen, Jack will give you the utmost respect without even needing to ask or prove that you deserve it.
Friendly – Despite his nervousness, once you get to know him and once he realizes you aren’t such a threat, Jack is rather friendly – something that his musician friends have learned. Once the initial fear subsides, he is able to calm down and have a conversation. He likes to laugh, and likes to have interesting conversations, as long as they aren’t too wordy – after all, he is only twelve.
Curious – This trait of Jack’s could be considered both good and bad. He has a sort of eagerness to learn, however this eagerness often leads him into snooping where he should not snooping. Although he doesn’t like to admit it, his snooping in on employers has caused his family a great deal of distress and lost jobs.
Immature – As much as Jack hangs around adults, he is still a twelve year-old, and thus has a certain immaturity. It is usually brought out by his younger sister, Shirley – the baby and angel of the family. Typically, his goal is to get her into trouble, however his plans usually backfire and end up getting him into trouble. He also dislikes and often complains about the fact that she gets everything she wants, and usually addresses her as “Bearcat.”

[attr=class,apptitle]HISTORY
[attr=class,apptxt]
Jack was born in February of 1913 to James and Helen Jensen, a lower-class couple working as servants for the upper-class trainers of Hyo City. Due to their lower-class standings, their parent’s chances for jobs were minimal.
When he was around two, his parents worked as servants to some upper class people living in Hyo. They owned a particularly nasty pikachu, who gave him quite a nasty shock when he tried to pet it, not only giving him a nasty burn on his hand, but also instilling in him a sort of fear of pokemon. Seeing as at the time, pokemon were only owned by the rich, he was never able to form a bond with another pokemon, thus keeping his fear alive. This event also caused his parents to lose their job. This was but one of many instances where his curiosity did such a thing, however it was the first and only one involving a pokemon. This frequent switching of jobs is what caused them to live in such awful conditions – a worn down shack as a house, left-overs from the garbage, hand-me-downs, etc.
As Jack grew older, his parents allowed him more and more freedom, letting him roam the streets while they worked. One night, he stayed out too late and got lost in the dark, unable to figure out which street he needed to take to find his home. He did, however, find a speak-easy – an illegal bar situated just underneath a jazz club called The Dizzy Pidgey. This was where he met his best friends – two jazz trumpet players by the names Georgie and Johnny. The two men took pity on the young boy, offering him a place to stay for the night, along with some spaghetti and a spot of what they called ‘brown plaid,’ both foodstuffs that he had never been able to eat at his home. From then on, Jack frequented The Dizzy Pidgey, learning about jazz music and how to play the trumpet, and often staying overnight, especially during the wintertime.
Jack has absolutely no idea how he managed to end up in twenty-first century Hyo City, but maybe someday he'll figure out that it was nothing but a little prank by Dialga.
